Where can I find a good sound-editing program?

It must be able to fit on a floppy.

I know of two really good shareware sound editors. One is called SoundFX, and it has just about every effect imaginable, plus it allows you to create your own. Another is called SndSampler, and it doesn't have too many effects, but you can compress files, change legnth and volume levels, and save as a few different formats.

EV-Edit is good, though it can be buggy.

I downloaded SoundFX but All I get is a bunch of simple text files that are too big to open... I am probably being really stupid, but how do I install SoundFX?
