What do you think? The textures were from Onyx's texturing guide, the only thing I could find in a pinch...I modified the model as well so it look less boring.

The way the gun barrels fit into the pods behind them looks wrong - one barrel just merges in, but the other two end abruptly, and outside the pod. Other than that, much better now that it has textures, though most of the improvements seem to be in the model. Yes, better textures would still be nice, though I can't really help with those.

The newer ship's cockpit looks like a oil drum lashed onto the craft's body by metal bindings. Maybe if it didn't stick out so much it would look better.

I never liked little fighter ships, except the krait, but oyurs looks pretty good. Forget those stupid space movies with fighters that have little lasers on the side of 'em. What we needed was a little ship with giant gatling guns monted on the side to blast everyone to smithereens!!!!! And as the Captain said the "cockpit looks like a oil drum lashed onto the craft's body by metal bindings", how cool is that. A makeshift ship. Just throw a few drums and some rather hefty guns together and then lash them together with metal bindings. Perhaps you could find a texture that portrayed that idea further, like rusting or something.
I have to stop now as I am sounding like an Architect/Designer.

It's a big improvement but the the bottom gun looks starnage at the back as does the cockpit.

I like the way the cockpit looks but I think the guns should all look the same way, if they are the same kind of weapon

Right!! I was trying to figure what this ship reminds me about, and you just said it. Emalgha. Loooks a little bit like their designs.
ya all its lacking is the wood hull....
BTW who came up with the idea that wood could keep pressure, reflect radiation, be light enough for escaping the gravity well of planets and be a good armor?
