i finally did a definitive test of multiple wëaps with the same ammo type. as was predicted, i wasn't able to get it to work (and trust me, i tried everything short of beating the computer over the head). so now i've got a question for the eventual audience of the tc for which i was trying to use it: would you rather i make two separate ammo types or should i just have the wëaps not use ammo (the three in question are light and heavy autocannons and a light rocket launcher, all available in turreted or fixed versions)? let me know how you think i should do it. p.s. if you're interested in doing graphics for a tc (or a series of them), let me know. thanx

In theory, with EVO 1.0.2, you can have one ammo type/two weapons. Just make the second set of modtype/modval in the ammo outf resource point to the 2nd weapon.

Didn't you read the bible? The second outfit type is not supposed to be ammo (or a weapon, or a couple of other things I forget.) The only way I know of that might work is to set weapon2 to use have the same ammotype field as weapon1, and then only make ammo outfits for weapon1. I do not know if this works, but I suspect it does not. Sorry for being pessimistic, but if anyone could have done this, I would have expected it to have happened already. Maybe if you combined both methods?
I vote for separate ammo bins, if you can't get the combined ammo to work.

don't worry, i do have some intelligence (guess that really doesn't fit the bad news i'm bringing, but oh well). i tried setting both to the same ammo type, tried having the outfit be ammo for both wëaps, and tried both together. that said, is the general consensus that all three (both autocannons and the light rockets) should all have turreted and fixed ammo?
