Strata to Infini-D

Does anyone know how I can get my 3d ship to be articulated the right way when I move from Strata to INfini-D, you see I find it a lot easier to do textures and to colour my ships in Infini than Strata so I do the modelling in Strata and then the textures in Infini-D. But when I move from Starta to ID it changes the way the ships are facing so that in the right view it shows the left and the ship is vertical and in th top view it shows the front of the ship and in the isometric view the ship is through the grid, anyone know how to fix this? I save the file as a 3dmf in cae you need to know.

Welcome to Infini-D, I'll be your guide today. 😉

It's pretty simple. Create an object - any object - at the center of your ship. Make it invisible (object tab, uncheck show object and cast shadows), and link all of your ship's objects to it. Then rotate and move the parent object so it's facing the right way and centered.

To change the "through the grid" problem, select the camera view window, and go to the view info tab. (are you using 4.5?) Then check "underground" and uncheck "show grid".

Could one of you please tell me how to get Infini-D 4.x. And yes, I know it's been discontinued, but there just has to be some way.
