what's the word on the original EV models?
I would prefer to use them to make the various improvements to the textures (and perhaps even perspective) over hand-drawing them in photoshop or even Appleworks or some other painting program.
a man can only wait so long before deeming a certain project 'Moot' or 'impossible'
yes or no i can stand- its the 'maybes' and 'ill sees' that i dispise.

I believe the the decision to release the models is up to Matt Burch, not Andrew. Also, if you know where to look, the kestrel model is out there.

and this isnt the best place to get attention, either...

You should go to a forum that andrew moderates, if you want to get his attention.

exactly.. like the just chat board, or somthin
well, that does sound like a decent idea, yes?
the whole thing here is this- i asked this same question here awhile back (why not- it IS a developer's problem)- a general declaration of interest in the original ship models, since the EVO ones have been released.
And lo and behold- the head honcho showed up to say 'will advise'
so think of this thread as a follow-up to that message- i wanted it in the same place as the original for some weird autistic reason that i may or may not have in my messed-up head.
and i really am not interested in the old kestrel for this project- i am actually looking for the freighters of the original EV, for reasons of interest to my plug-in.

look, if i see MCB on irc, i'll ask him. ok? he might not want to release the models, but theyre his, so we wont be able to do much if he doesent wana give them out, now can we?

but does that make much sense? why the EVO models and not the EV models? the originals were lesser in comparison (in terms of polygon numbers and complexity) to the EVO models.
if i had any contact, i would practically beg the man- thank you for your efforts.

why EVO and not EV? because the maker of the EVO models wanted them released, and maybe matt didnt. the EVO models werent officially released by ambrosia, the creater just decided to put them up. deal with it.
