Is Strata 3D any good for graphics like for EVO. I don't want to waste my precious hard drive space.

Yes. Better tools than Mechanisto but, of course, steeper learning curve.

You can always delete it if you don't like it.

I used StrataVision -- the much more basic predecessor -- for most of the Frozen Heart graphics. I'm now using Strata 3d for all of the new stuff. Much better, much faster.

Can anyone tell me if there's a guide for Strata3D. I'm new to graphix and not good at adjusting to new programs. I D/L it months ago and I trashed it and I'm just using Infini-D. I want to try Strata again but I need some instructions first.

sigh The manual is online by C3D can't code JavaScript to sniff for flash enabled browsers correctly---not to mention that the us of Flash here is utterly superfluous and is "Hey look at me!" crap. However, the manual is available online through the program. You'll have to be connected to the net at the time, though.
Ergh. Will someone donate about 10 MB of web space? I've got the PDF'd manuals out of my (legal) copy of StudioPro 2.5.3 and the only thing different from 3.0 is the lack of radiosity in 3.0 and the lack of stereoscopic rendering in 2.5.3. I don't want to go to the hassle of messing with geocities, etc., and I'm not going to start sucking bandwidth from thefyi.com . If someone has an idisk, etc. I'm more than willing to provide the manuals in the name of poking C3D in the eye with a pointy stick for not including a PDF'd manual and, basically, requiring a full-time connection to the net to learn how to use the program.
And if I can actually get C3D's web site working, I'll try and grab a complete copy of the HTML manual as well.
