Here are some things that I;m asking that can be added to EV3.
1. Can you make it so that you can by and sell planets legally so the galaxy doesn't hate you for dominating them.
2. Like Ares, can you mak escorts stop and stay where you want them to stay or go somewhere else and meet them there later.
3. For plug-ins can there be like a max of 8 weapons instead of 4.
4. Can you make it so that you can blow up planets. Like once you beat all there fighters you can start taking shots at the planet itself.
5. Can a special radar show up on the screen for weapons so you can tell where there coming from.
And the Final Request
6. Can you make it so that you can drop out as an fighter out of your own ship and be in control of of the fighter and then dock back on the main ship and then be in control of it.

1. Can you make it so that you can by and sell planets legally so the galaxy doesn't hate you for dominating them. - thats no very EVish if you ask me.
2. Like Ares, can you mak escorts stop and stay where you want them to stay or go somewhere else and meet them there later. -good idea
3. For plug-ins can there be like a max of 8 weapons instead of 4. -or 32, but the increased max won't help unless the AI uses all the weapons and at the right time
4. Can you make it so that you can blow up planets. Like once you beat all there fighters you can start taking shots at the planet itself. -no
5. Can a special radar show up on the screen for weapons so you can tell where there coming from. -should be added to regular radar, maybe have the ability to toggle it off and on.
6. Can you make it so that you can drop out as an fighter out of your own ship and be in control of of the fighter and then dock back on the main ship and then be in control of it. -Interesting idea, it wiould be fun. I think that goes under the area of having multiple ships you can switch between.

umm, your saying that controlling the fighter would be fun, but still have the capital ship under your control... but you dont think buying/selling planets, and blowing them up wouldnt? at least be able to colonize planets! i mean, cmon! we hafta have SOMTHING to do once we finish all the missions

Sux for you then. But I would just beable to launch from my ship in a fighter and escape right before the main ships blwoing up and keep on fighting.

Why not? That would fall under the request to allow the player to have their own government if they have a planet. And a very large corporation, such as one of the shipping companies, could conceviably have enough money to buy an entire planet. Sorta like in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, with that one company that makes build-to-order planets. I think that would be cool.
I think all the rest of your ideas are cool, except for shooting a planet. There is no way you'd ever be able to do any amount of damage. If converted to shields and armor, I'm going to try to calculate the amount of armor a planet would have. Here goes. So the mass of the earth is 6.5e21 tons. A Voinan Dreadnought is 4000 tons, and it is the closest thing to pure armor, which is essentially what a planet is. A dreadnought has 15,000 armor. So 3.5 x Mass = armor. Therefore, a planet would have 6.5e63 shields. That would be 65 with 62 zeroes after it. First off, there is no variable that can hold a number that large, and secondly, there would be no point in shooting a planet. Remember how long it takes to kill a Dreadnought. You'd be blasting for years, literally.

Well, if someone made a good starwars plug, and you had the deathstar, then you might want to blow somethings up
non-energy weapons would also burn up in a planets atmosphere.
that brings up another point: planets that do, and do not have atmosphere, i'm not sure what difference on gameplay this would have, but i'm sure it could be utilized
So maybe the planeting blowing up thing is a bad idea.oh well. Oh, and one more request, on missions, can you give up more capability. Like when a ship blows up, a message comes into your ship while in space changing the mission and can you make it so tht items can be added to the al ships like sheild recharge, etc.
4. Can you make it so that you can blow up planets. Like once you beat all there fighters you can start taking shots at the planet itself. That would be a laugh to blow the hell outa planets if they didn't like you, should have virus missile things that crap up the atmosphere.

Whurp, you just gave me an idea.
6. Can there be like weapons that don't hurt ship. Like a beam can be fired at a ship and instead of it hurting it absorbs the beams and helps it or it just doesn't hurt at all.
In case anyone reading this is a "power that is," I'll put in my own little idea. In EV and EVO, ships were essentially better because they had more weapons mass or turret slots. Needless to say, this makes it extremely difficult to make a lot of ships desireable in unique ways. So, I think that the weapon's mass should be subdivided: for example, Ship A, a very long range patrol ship, has lots of room for ammunition and fuel, but not for many weapons. Ship B is a short-ranged warship, it has lots of mass for weapons and shielding, but has limited ammo capacity. Ship C is kind of a privateer, it has room for upgrades (thrust, ecms, etc) but not weapons and ammo.
Not a bad idea but can't you already do that in EVO and Ev?
Nope...lets say you buy a ship with 50 tons of weapons mass. You could fill it with 25 rockets or a few blaze turrets, or any combination of the two.
Yes you can. Just give it lots of fuel tanks, and little space. Not very upgradeable, but why would I want to buy a ship that only allows me to add fuel tanks? I'd rather just buy a ship with 15 jumps right off, and skip the bother of buying the tanks.
Okay, using fuel as an example was probably a bad idea, as you can control it. Of course, fuel isn't very importanty unless using certain beams anyway. But the rest of it, having a ships wëap mass divided into different categories (10 tons max cannons, 10 tons max ammo, 5 tons max upgrades) is totally impossible right now.
i've wanted something like that, too. ev and evo assume that armor, weapons, and ammo all go in the same place, whereas in real life it would be downright stupid to strap all your ammo to the outside of your ship. ships should have a set ammo capacity, and you should be able to buy magazines if you want your ship to hold more. another possibility would be just a division of available space into internal and external. while i'm at it i might as well add in another idea along those lines: armor for outfits. if something is on the outside of the ship it's going to get hit, and if a gun's inside of the armor it can't shoot. it would require a lot of programming to make it realistic (i've tried. it's not easy to determine where on a ship a shot hit), but even just a random value which says one out of every n hits (once the shield is depleted) will hit something important. it would probably take a lot of work but i think it'd be worth it to have a ship which actually gets weaker after it's been hit a lot

I think you should be able to board and help repair disabled ships. And also you should be able to turn over captured ships to goverments. for example you capture a confed cruiser and turn it over to the rebel cause. It would accompany you on every mission you get from them after that. And it would also gain you points with the rebels so they like you more.
------------------ Uhh....Is this one of those trick Questions?

Isn't it possible to give the escape pod maneavurbility and weapons? Then you could fight on for some time, but the "you've been rescued" box would still appear and you'd end up with the shuttle and not a fighter. Im not sure on this one, havent tryed it
