Where can I find the Symbol of Garendall? I've just started playing again (I've been playing Override recently!) and Decimus gave me the tent and now my Quest is to find the Symbol of Garendall. Where is it? I don't know where High Garendall is, either, and I was told to look there.
- P.P.
The symbol of Garendall is indeed within the ruins of High Garendall(as High Garendall was destroyed years in the past). H.G. is located in the extreme north, accessible by a temple which is around 4 screens north of the Bridge you helped to complete by killing all those Ookwasps.
However, in order to enter the temple and thereby gain access to the ruins of H.G., you must first have a key. If you want a spoiler ask and we'll give you one. Otherwise I'll just point you in the right direction and let you find things out on your own.
Before you are able to go after the symbol you will need to complete the Druid's mission sets(completely unrelated except that he will grant you access to where you need to go in order to get the standard). So talk with the druid and start his mission sets.
Good luck.

I cannot talk to the Druid, he says (url="http://"http://homepage.mac.com/mdwgmalc/.Pictures/druid.jpg")this.(/url)
PS. I used my brother's saved game becasue he was closest to the Druid. He's having this problem, too, so I'm gonna get him to pay me or the solution... if I get one!!

Not to worry, you aren't lost yet!
Open up your quest book and list the quests you have(the names only; we shouldn't need the definitions).
My guess without seeing your quest book is that you need to do 2 things:
You may need to go up to level 2 in order to get the Order of Seasons entry to work; I don't recall.
After doing this you should have a quest titled something like "Order of Seasons" which has a description telling you to find the lost order which is somewhere in the plains of endless winds.
Anyhow, try the learning tree and if that doesn't work post your quest list and we can attempt to help you further.
Good luck, and don't get too frustrated.
Remember when Emilius asked you to find a way to save Garendall and told you to research "orders" You need to do that and you'll then continue on with the mission

I found the Plains Of Endlesswind enterance ages ago but where are the Plains Of Endlesswind? Do need to go there to complete my quest??
Never mind, I found it and the cave with Orobas in it... Where is the Varendeep lake?
a couple screens south of the plains of the endless winds, but you have to go through a tunnel in order to reach the other side.
------------------ "you have to go for miles over tall mountains. Then once your over those, you have to travel across swamps as far as the eye can see, but then it gets better."-Gimli, Gloin's son
Now 'm stuck on that quest. I've come to the Varandeep lake, but now where should I go??? DO I have to go through the cave??
I figured it out for myself, and now I need to know where the statue the saylor needs (to sail to Reefs Island) is! Could somebody give me a hint please? :frown:

Yeah, walk around and talk with people. Rumors circulate, and someone in the city will probably have some guesses. If you still can't find, ask, and someone will provide a spoliler
Ok I found it. Now I'm a bit further on (quest-wise) but I need help (again) becasue I can't find the blacksmith who's south of Gidoloan Keep. (I can't spell today)
Directions to get there are based upon where you've been(so I know where to send you from, heh).
If you've been to the South Coast then it is real easy. Take the tunnels to the South Coast tunnel entrance and then travel 1 north and one east and you will find him.
If you have been to the cyclops coast tunnel entrance(NOT the same as where you killed the cyclops for the Dernath quest) then you will need to travel 1 west, 2 south, and then 1 more south(in that order).
If you have not been to either of those, then go to the screen where Septembris lives. Then travel 1 south and 1 west. Cross the river and then travel 1 east(so you will be on the same screen as before, but on the south side of the river). On this screen there are 2 exits to the south.. you could follow the road, OR you can follow the tree line on the east side until a path opens up(not a secret path, just a regular path through the trees) and follow that to the southern exit. I recommend going through the trees - much safer for what follows. Ok, one you have gone south from that screen, go 1 screen east and you will find the Cyclops Tunnel Entrance(as long as you are this close to it, you might as well locate it for future use). And now that you have hit this landmark go look above for directions to the dwarf from this landmark.
When you get on the screen where the dwarf is, he is located on the very bottom of the map near the middle.
Good luck. If any of the above is confusing or doesn't make sense let me know and I'll try to explain better.

Ok, I've finished PoG now. Unfortunately, I gave up using Trinity half-way through. :frown: Oh well, I'll just start again. Who do you think I should play as?

The Ranger! He has the coolest weapons available (you must like bows though) and great alchemist skills -- but that's my opinion. Some people here believe the conjurer is the coolest class around...

Forget what Dee is telling you, the conjurer IS the best character. Awesome spells, powerful items, and to top it off he looks better than the ranger.

I like bows, but I find that I use swords more becasue they do greater damage.

I played as the conjurer (ages ago now) but I was really pissed off becasue I kept getting slaughtered by all the goblins and it took far too long for me to increase in level! lol. I am a bad player, though...
