Plug-in Ideas

Hey, Everyone. I'm working on a plugin for EVO called "The Beginning." It covers the events before and shortly after the Battle of Sol (i.e. the beginning of EVO). It's basically the background story for EVO. It casts you as a UE navy fighter pilot and later warship captain. I've deleted out strand, strandless and Miranu space in my plug, for obvious reasons. The Emalghia are back under Voinian control. And, lastly, it covers the founding of Freeport/the dawn of the renegades.
So, friends, is this a good idea?
Am I wasting my time?
Any suggestions?
And please tell me if it's already been done.
