I hate to ask this again, but i am making a addon plug, and I do not know wether to Make a new ship with the ID number 129 or 192 (the ID number that is not used by EVO) If I use 129, will it replace that ship with the new one? or not. Why?
PLEASE: DO NOT GIVE ABBREVIATIONS WITHOUT EXPLAINING WHAT THEY STAND FOR OR ARE!!
thanks

Yes, it will replace the Freighter (the ship that uses the ID# 129). IE. The Freighter will no longer exist, and unless you change the düdes etc.. the ship you make will show up where the Freighter did (in space that is, not the shipyard).
BTW: all of the spaces from 175 to 190 are unused, and 192 is the highest ship spot (I think)...

I think that your wrong, 191 is the last ship, but whatever

I menat as in you can't have a ship with an ID# greater than 192, not as in that there is a ship in EV:O that uses that spot..

Think, people. 128 + 64 = 191 - 1 = 190. 190 is the last ship slot you can use. Ship 191 is the Escape Pod.

Actually, here's how it works: 128 + 64 = 192 - 1 = 191. 190 is the last ship slot you can use. Ship 191 is the Escape Pod.
if that is so, than how do I add ships without deleting the ones in the game?!
Only add 15

By assigning them an ID ranging from 128-191 that isn't used. 128 is the ship you begin with, 191 is the escape pod.

Ok, i dont understand what you said, u-99, "only add 15" What???
and to andrew m: All of the ships from 128-191 are used. And why can't you go from 192-256?

Firstly, no, no, no. Secondly, there's a limit of 64 ship slots.
Well, then, if that is so, why cant you have 64 ship slots that are over 191, then, it wont replace the ships in the plugin, and you can still have 64 ships. I might try it with a cheap-o plug to find out. Unless someone has already done it for me...

First, if you intend to make plug-ins, get a copy of the EV/EVO Bible and read it. That will answer many of your questions.
There are 64 resource 'slots' allocated for ships, the resource ID numbers are 128 through 191. ID 191 is reserved for the escape pod. ID 128 through 174 are used for EVO ships. ID 175 through 190 are available for additional ships without replacing ships already in the game, so you can add as many as 15 ships without replacing anything. Clear?
