For a plug-in that I am creating, I plan to ask for help from "others" in creating the graphics (I can take care of the plot and most of the "programming", though I have to learn a lot yet for the latter). Since there are so many plug-in creators out there, I need to use some method for ensuring people submit graphics for MY plug-in, rather than others.
So, it should be obvious, I plan to offer a prize package for the "winners".
In the first "round" of the contest, I will only be looking for ship graphics (do not need to be sprites when I receive them, "concept" images will do, but I'll expect the winner to secure rendering of their graphic(s) before I give them the prize). Here's what I'm looking for:
-- Generalized starfighter. This ship needs to have 10 different versions, distinguished only by color. -- "Saucer" starfighter. Needs to be saucer shaped, only one type of this ship. -- "Saucer" small and large capital ships. Similar to above. -- Generalized destroyer/frigate (2-3 winners). Small capital ship for use by the races using the generalized starfighter. The winners and I will discuss colors. -- Generalized cruiser/battleship (2-3 winners). Large capital ship for use by those same races. Same color issue.
Your prize: -- Beta testing of plug. -- "Persona" in game. -- $10 U. S. Currency. -- Name in the credits. -- Since I am planning to release this plug as "whatever-you-want -to-give-me-ware" (e-mail, postcard, money, etc.), graphic designers will divide up 10% of these revenues, if any.
Deadline:
ASAP. I'll be able to give some warning before it's over.
Also, my copy of StuffIt Expander (as well as a new one that I downloaded) is currently NOT WORKING PROPERLY. Therefore, until I figure out what's going on with that, send all pictures in any common graphic format UNCOMPRESSED to dueyschub@excite.com or post them to a website (even better) and give me the URL.
To those of you I've talked to privately about graphics: you ARE eligible to win this prize.
