Okay, I am in need of people who can do missions well in ResEdit. If you have been to the EVO Board recently, you know that a bunch of people (including me) have gotten together to do a TC plug-in that has the max of 1000 systems. We will likey max out everything else too. Anywho, I'm sorta the "Grand Master" of one section of the galaxy. I get to make it and everything. I won't have a problem with most things except the missions. I can do missions in Schmelta V blindfolded, but that goes only to 256 mission bits. The plug-in takes up 512 mission bits. And with Great War and some non-ev things taking up my time, I don't have time to learn to do missions in ResEdit. I need people to help me with this. E-mail me.

Why don't you just make the missions in Schmelta-V, write down what missions have what bits set when, and then only edit those in Res-Edit?
------------------
Why don't you make 256 missions in shmelta, note which bits do what, then transfer those to a temporary res file. Then, start a new shmelta doc, and make the rest. Then, copy them into the temp res file. It will ask you if you want to save over resources with conflicting ID's. click the "force unique id's" button and it will put the new ones in starting at 257!
I think. It makes sense in my head, anyone see a problem with that?

That's what I'll do. Thanks!

I believe that would be exceedingly complex, especially if you'll want to make modifications afterwards. Besides, OctoberFost, you don't expect to use up all 512 bits and leave none for us, do you?
Anyway, I can help. You know where to email me.
