For those of you who'd like to get your hands on the 3D models for the ships you saw in EVO : MAGMA; well, here you go. Due to the fact that my G4 with OS 9 is not compatible with Ray Dream Studio 5.5.1, I'm pretty much abandoning Ray Dream and moving entirely to Animation:Master (which I've been using as well for quite some time now). Ray Dream served me well on my 6500, but now it's time to move on (I never did especially like its rendering engine) - and as such, the models for all the EVO ships, as seen in MAGMA are now avalible in Ray Dream format at (url="http://"http://www.meowx.com/shipyard/bigs.html")the Big Screen section(/url) of my shipyard. Enjoy!

So, you used ray dream to make all of your graphics? cool. I use lightwave, and soon, 3D studio Max!

I'd just like to say that the MAGMA plugin's graphix are freak'in AWESOME!!! The detail is incredible and some of the ships are actually scary going against them (the old "dread not" is revamped and is one of the most intimidating looking ships ever), instead of the top down cartoony images Ambrosia put it. I'm gett'in me hands on those models
Could you post an archive with just the textures? Us people who don't use RayDream can't use the models, but the textures seemed pretty cool.

Sadly, no. Although texture maps were used on all ships, shaders (Ray Dream's texturing thingy) account for large parts (read: the ships are shaded, then small texture maps are added on for coolness) of all the ships; and short of taking a screen shot, you can't really use them in other programs. Sorry! I could put them un in DFX format, but that kills the textures and makes the files huge, like a Microsoft Empire and/or Ego.
