I'm trying to create my own graphics for an EVO plugin, and i can't get the rendering settings so they look like the original graphics. Does anyone know what settings were used to render the originals?
------------------ This signiture says nothing. Why? Because i said so.
Are you using the full version? because the demo can't save, or do more than 30 renderings, if you ARE using the full version... WHERE THE %#$& DID YOU GET $500!?!? hehe, but seriosly, where did you get it? oh yeah, download EVO 3D Designs, it has a "template"" that EVO uses for all it's graphics, so just copy/paste your ship or whatever into it, and render it. although i'm not sure how to get Infini-D to render nicely in 256 colors.
------------------
what version do you have? I have Metatools Infini-D 4.0. is specular better? The templates aren't very useful for making spins. the thing on (url="http://"http://www.grand-novice.com")www.grand-novice.com(/url) will probably be useful but is made for use with specular 3.0 though it will still work well enough. the main problem i have is that my ships end up looking like plastic toys. in other words i need good ways to make GOOD textures.. I need help also....

I'm using Infini-D 4.5, which i got off a friend. I have no idea if specular is better. That's also my problem. They always end up looking like plastic. I've tried to render the 3D designs, to try to mimic the ingame graphics, but to no avail.
As an expierenced Infini-D user, i know about your "plastic" problem. I found sometimes that it loooked tooooo cheap, and i had to do more stuff. The way I found around it is to change the surfaces so there is no "specular" or "shine" or "reflectivity" to it. It makes (in my view) it look a lot more realistic Good luck You can see some of my infini-d work @ (url="http://"http://www.wombatcentral.pyar.com")http://www.wombatcentral.pyar.com(/url) (url="http://"http://www.phyre.pyar.com")http://www.phyre.pyar.com(/url)
