I ask because I am working on a new plug-in, The Cobalt Project. It is basicly an anti-pirate plug with a string of anti-pirate missions offered by the independent worlds. I thought it would be interesting to also have an anti-independent worlds string of missions offered by the pirates. But does anyone here play as a pirate (robs freighters, hated by both confeds and rebels (this is important), and everyone else, dominates planets). I don't want to waste time making missions nobody will play. Thanks for your help.

Hm. I think Basilisk either plays as a Rebel or pirate. I only plunder pirates and Confed. freighter convoys.

It depends on the plot. If the plot requires you to stay on a governments good side then I'll only pluder from the enemy of that government. If the plot has something like your talking about then I'd do whatever it wanted me to do.
To answer your question directly though, only once I have completed all the missions in a plug will I become a pirate and/or try to take over the galaxy. If you would like help making your plugin I'll be more than willing to because noone seems to want to help me make the Red Dwarf plug. So i'm pretty much free right now.

I will generally have a few parallel pilots (at least in a good plugin) with various dispositions. One would be pirate. In Galactic Scourge, we have a series of Pirate government missions, just as useful (or more so) than the Reb/Confed strings.

Don't you mean pilots.
I play as a pirate quite often, although it's often a 'turn Confeds, Rebels, Traders, Independents, Militias, Bounty Hunters, AND Pirates into space dust and then take all their credits' kind of pirate

The only Gov. that I don't attack is the Rebs. because I want their ships.

I just steal their ships. It's more challenging than completing the easy missions that you need to to get them without attack the rebels. The only mission that is even challenging is the kill the alien part. It's more fun just to take them, and don't even try to say that it's easy to take their ships because it takes a lot of luck to get one unless your using a cheat ship that has extremely good capture odds.

You forgot to conjugate the verb.
