I was wondering if anybody had any information on the proposed update 1.0.2
what new features for plug in designers does it contain?
Marines- do thease increase your chance of capturing ships?
when is it likely to be released?
will it require new templates for resources?
Is Matt Burch working on it or is it a third party project?

EVO 1.0.2 is 100% pure Matt Burch. You're right about Marines - but they'll just be a new outfit type - no templates needed. For news, click on the News button at the top of the webboard, then click Upcoming, then click on EVO 1.0.2

Well, let's see. Straight from Matt Burch's keyboard - info on the update (from Ambrosia's news/upcoming page):

EVO 1.0.2 status:
-----------------
Things implemented or fixed:
Fixed a bug that was causing turrets to be somewhat inaccurate
Fixed the start-disabled flag in the govt resources so it works again
Added the capability for AI ships to use afterburners
Added a "Marines" outfit type for plugin developers to use
AI ships can perform slightly more complex combat maneuvers
Known issues being addressed:
Implement a reverse-target-cycling key for convienence (shift + target key)
New AI is confused by rearward attacks
Beam weapons fire wrong direction (should be fixed now - testing)
Can't use flët ID > 128
Mysterious or unreproducable problems to look at:
Some plugins mysteriously take more memory?
Some players can't hyperspace?
Game crashes when recalling fighters?
Game crashes when boarding a ship?

That enough for you?
