I have a full version of StrataVision 3d 4.0, I got it off a MacAddict disk.
That was a few years ago though. It was also on a MacFormat mag CD at around the same time...I think maybe late 1997.

Is it just me, or does Strata Vision 3D 4.0 not have any way to move or adjust things manually (using numbers)? It has a very nice raytracing engine, but how do you change the backround?

I think it does somewhere, but not intereactive
As for the background, around the vicinety of the render menu there is an enviroment menu item. Go there.
