In those squares where you cannot get to all of the bad guys because of a river or other obstruction (including some caves) you can increase your score if you have a bow with a range of 10. Kill all the guys you can reach first and then swith to the bow. If your marksmanship is good, you can often kill things you cannot even see. You'll get the points anyway.
