first Azdgari mission bug?

2 days or more jump time in all ships????

Ok, I've spent hours patrolling this forum for my answer and haven't found it. I understand that for the azdgari mission starting at south tip station you need to have a ship with a one day jump time in order to complete it. Seems to me like the Arada had this in the original? I'm playing the port to Nova version as I am a windows user. I have pretty much blown my 50m credit fortune with different ships trying to complete this mission. Even a cresent fighter with engine upgrades still had a 2 day jump time for me!!!! You can't do this in a 2 day jump ship as you will be 1 or 2 jumps short!!! Is my version bugged? I have played every missoin string but the Azdgari and want to play through it.

Do you have any escorts? You can only jump as fast as your slowest escort. Engine upgrades do not affect jumping.
(edit) Jump time is related to the mass of your ship, so check the stats in the ship info when looking for a 1-day ship. Less than 100 tons = 1 day, 100 to 199 = 2 days, 200 or more = 3 days.

You might consider getting an extra fuel tank and scoop so you don't have to land for fuel as frequently.

Also, before buying new ships (or taking new missions) I always backup my pilot file so if I don't like the ship I can go back to where I was, retry a different ship and not lose all that money.

AH! Thank you for answering my question. I have a full fleet of the big yellow battleships, (my planet domination force 🙂 ) and they are 2 day jump ships. Sucks that I ditched a highly upgraded Vonian cruiser and a full fleet of escorts in addition to about 40m credits figuring this out but I guess I can get the mission done now.

Escorts also add extra days to your landing time, like one or two days extra. I can't remember which because I rarely used escorts.
