Igadzra Mission Help

I'm trying to do the Igadzra recruitment mission wherein I take the classified cargo from Kitrak to Igadzra. Here's the problem: I keep running out of time. I've found the shortest route I can-- 14 jumps, but it's just one too many. By the time I get to Igadzra, I've just failed the mission my about a day or two. Is there a faster route? Is there any trick to getting more time (leap year?), is there something that I'm missing here?

Some info that may or may not be useful: I'm using a U.E. Carrier, I have four escorts (three Laziras, one Arada), I'm using the Override plug-in for the Nova engine, I get tailed by a bunch of Zidigar fighters that continually tell me to prepare for a cargo scan, but never attack me, and I've tried doing a barrel roll too.

You'll have to give up your Carrier. Larger ships spend more days in hyperspace than smaller ships. If you're in the crescent, the Lazira is a pretty nice ship and should be quick enough to get you there in time.

Also, welcome to the boards 🙂

Welcome to the boards, Kid Charlemagne.

Got some bad news. In order to succeed at that mission you need to be in a lighter ship that makes 1-day (maybe 2-day jumps). And lose those escorts. Escorts add days to your jump times. But make a copy of your pilot file before you release your escorts or buy a new ship, so you can go back to it if you want to play another strand.

Oh, and the Zidigar will scan you on this mission no matter what. You have annoyed them by accepting the mission.

Good luck. 🙂

EDIT: laughs and shakes her fist at Guy's lightening speed posting 😛

What took you so long? 😛

Sometimes I get distracted... 😛

Ah, I figured larger ships and escorts would add to jump times. I also made several copies of my pilot and tried out (and by that I mean stole) some other ships, so I'll be on my way. I don't know where I'm goin'...

I actually seem to have angered the Agdzari more than the Zidigar. I love the way they attack me, then get upset when I defend myself. It's funny.

Thanks for the help, and the welcomes to the boards. I've been considering migrating from the Bungie.net forums to the Ambrosia boards for some time now. It seems so much more intelligent and humane here.

This happened to me as well. Whenever I defend Innor from the Zidagar, the Azdgari hate me even more when I'm done and the Zidagar don't even care.
And vice-versa when I defend Igadzra from the Azdgari.

What all do you need to be able to start this mission anyway? Any particular combat rating or legal status?

I pretty sure you need at least a Dangerous to start all Strand missions. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Legal status doesn't matter to start, though it could prohibit you from receiving missions later in the thread.
