Question

In the UE string when you are helping the Hinwar and you run into d'Elron at yandros and you take his marines and take over the station what is with the extra equiptment left behind and how is it useful??? Is that a required item to open another string?? Just wondering!

Its pretty useful what it does is it increases the chances of you capturing other ships.

Oh really so Like the outfit you can buy in Nova??? LOL funny thing is i am using the Dreadnought and what cant it catch???

Thing is, unless you were already in the Dreadnought before you completed that particular mission, it won't help you any, because the outfit doesn't transfer from ship to ship. Also, any ship you can board can be captured, but some are easier to steal than others.

The Voinian Dreadnought itself, whilst a very effective escort, is not a very good ship to have for yourself. This is because its weapons have no outfit resource, so as soon as you enter the outfitters... poof , no more shiny advanced weapons. And its not like you could reload that salvo rocket launcher anyway. Escorts, being AI ships, do not have certain player restrictions, and will automatically reload their stock every time you land, regardless of weather or not the appropriate service is available. Capturing six dreadnought escorts would be most wise; you could easily conquer much of the universe without raising a finger.

Now, if you want a good capital ship for yourself , look no father than the Igazra. The banana-yellow novelty pen of a ship is to be rightly feared , not laughed at. More-so when it has been properly upgraded. Its SAE launcher can be a nuisance if you haven't done the Igadzra string, however, as you must raid their ships to restock and reload.

Unless you have a plugin altering it, UE Marine Gear is one of the few outfits you do keep when trading ships. In terms of numbers, it effectively adds 200 "crew" to your capturing odds.

Angel's right.

BTW: can we have a slightly more informative topic title? 'Question' could be about anything.

maybe somthing like "broblem with UE marines" or somthing might have been better. 😉

Fixed.

sigh

I was deliberately trying to avoid writing it that way, Qaanol. The ship's appearance is suggestive enough.

Yes, it pairs up nicely with the Zidara.

Qaanol, please.

Knock it off with the grave-digging just for the sake of innuendo, and get back to posting the zaniness we know you for (and, frankly, we rather prefer). Else-wise, Materiel Defender will activate death-blossom-mode and kill the Emperor, you got me?
