I know you have to have a pretty decent combat rating, and the mission strings start out with purple eels. Sounds strange, but the missions get good...

Personally, I perfer the Azdgari. Great ships with good speed, nice sense of comradory (if not directed at the player), and they don't commit panetary genocide. The only real reason to join the Igzdara is if you're paranoid or want the Igzara, which I've beaten dozens of in my UE Cruiser before.
