Right, I think I've figured out that the whole 'two languages - door to the universe' thing has to do with the two systems called 'Kelmaon'. So I've visited both of them, I've noticed that there's a Council ship called 'Gadzooks' in one of them, I've tried going to Gadzair but can't land at Council Station, I've tried talking to 'Gadzooks', disabling it, destroying it... - nothing seems to make any difference when I go back to Paaren Station.
Can someone out there give me a hint?

Odd. Destroying that Lazira is the right way. Perhaps you have hit a bug...

I never played the plug, but you might try boarding the vessel.

Yeah, I tried that. It said "You can't board this vessel"!

Just abort the mission and try again.

Have you been specifically TOLD that the Council are blockading the route that leads beyond the crescent?
It's now a very long time since I did the BTC string last, though I think it's probably the best non-TC plug of all. It fits well with the culture of the rest of the game, and doesn't unbalance it badly as some do. As a result, I always left BTC plugged in whenever I started a new pilot, unless I suspected that it would clash with some other plug. So enjoy it!
Sooner or later, I think you'll find that you need to go and take out a station (eek!). You're probably already seeing random missions to new destinations far to the galactic east, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out where the jumping-off point for this adventure is.
Perhaps you need to re-visit Earth, or wherever, in order to 'realise' what you need to do next, though?
