ok, its a cheat of sorts. i just tried it to see if it worked. i could get two or three times as many xp as usual. i always wait until i can kill sea giants to use my powders, since they're worth the most points. once you're at that level, stand near the entrance to gidolan keep. use the powder, kill the giants in the immediate area, then quickly save, load and do it again. the fresh supply of sea giants on every load will let you kill a bunch before the powder wears off
