Golden Horizon - Part V

OOC: Thunder, if you'd read my post (yeah, forgiven, it's long) you'll know that the ITA are dead. I can't post yet, since I'm waiting for Lars Magna's assualt that happens at the same time or shortly after my large post. And for crying out loud! SilverDragon is NOT part of IGNA. Evaniol leads IGNA, the Assembly lead the Igadzra, and just to confuse you even more, soon enough the entire goverment will be reformed and I'll stop being Igadzra. 😉

------------------
Word.

Without warning, a large Pirate fleet jumped into Appnyl. The Igadzra didn't have a single bit of time to fight back or reinforce the system. The Pirate hoard overwhelmed the IGNA fleet and disabled Citadel station, leaving it to drift through space.

Working quickly, the Pirates then jumped into Draco and opened fire again, but this time the going was slow and the IGNA began to call up reinforcements...

OOC: Carnotaur, you could at least have given me a post to defend the Citadel (that thing makes an Igazrada look like a toy).

- - -

One and a half hundred IGNA ships entered Draco, their fuel tanks empty, many of them not at full shields. The Templar specifically looked like a vysage of death, parts of it ripped off. The Ethereal and Nightmare hardly looked perfect, either.

A pathetic barrage of SAIs picked up from the Gateway was launched, knocking out a few FSA ships. Melee combat was engaged, and IGNA fought as best they could, despite being outnumbered, outgunned, outmatched...out everything. 400 pirate ships met them, and the defending ships were already battered and worn.

However, smaller Igadzra ships made runs to the IGNA armada, re-supplying them with SAIs whenever possible.

But as well as IGNA could fight, they still looked a sorry lot. The worst part was, the FSA were using turbophase weaponry. Obviously, Heraphar had made a few allies in his time, however short.

In comparsion, IGNA paled.

Only one of their ships made any impression whatsoever - the Ethereal , captained by SilverDragon, who was, undoubtably, the best pilot in Igadzra, and definately the most experienced.

The Ethereal made an over-brave effort, slashing out at FSA Crescent fighters and Kraits, turning a few dozen to stardust. Four Igazras and six Izagas backed the Igazrada as it did it's best to lower the FSA ship count. Four Igazras and six Izagas don't break rank for no reason.

"Sir!" came the hail from one of the Izagas.

"What's the problem, captain?" SilverDragon replied after thirty seconds, when he had a break to speak.

"'just wanted to make sure you know we're here for you, Wing Commander," the captain replied, the comm.link somehow managing to convey his smile in the warmth of his voice.

That voice is familiar...Tassar? "Tassar, is that you? 'thought you retired!" this time SilverDragon didn't wait, and lost more shields than he should have to a FSA Arada before it went skyhigh.

"I unretired, sir, when I heard IGNA got whooped at Akrahd. 'seems they don't make fleets like they used to," Tassar replied.

"No, they don't at that. Shouldn't you be back in line, Tassar?" SilverDragon replied.

Tassar's laughter came after a second. "Thirty years back, you told me Final Destiny don't believe in lines."

"Yeah...all these guys from Final Destiny?"

"Yes, sir," Tassar replied. "We all un-retired."

"Hmm...the situation looks grim, pilot. A pack of FSA ships ahead, all heavies," SilverDragon muttered."

"I'm covering you," came the voice from one of the Igazras.

"Well...let's see what they've got," came another.

With that, the Ethereal and it's ten escorts charged into oblivion, the Igazada already down to 12% shielding when it entered the battle.

The ships caused mass damage, but the situation was hopeless - they found almost all the attacking fleets firepower on them. The Ethereal went up in flames, exploding a nearby Crescent Warship.

Tassar's Izaga emerged from the flames, a tractor beam from it towing a blasted life-pod (an escape pod minus the engines).

------------------
Word.

While the bulk of the Pirate fleet fought the rest of the IGNA elsewhere in the system, a large group of warships moved towards the Nightmare.

The Igazrada was being guarded by several Izagas and 4 Igazras; a formidable fleet, but not if you knew what you were doing.

The Pirate commander knew how to handle the situation, and went right ahead with it. Firing missiles, SADs, and rockets from a distance, fighters zoomed in to create a lot of problems with the escort ships, but ignored the dreadnaught. With the escorts distracted with Fighters, Laziras and Aradas then moved in to keep the escorts really busy while the Crescent Warships, Turncoats, and other Laziras went after the Nightmare.

Targetting the ships engines and the general direction of the power core, the Pirates hammered at the vessel. Kraits from the Turncoats with missiles and warheads latched onto them sped into the engines of the Nightmare , causing a lot of damage despite their small size.

Soon, the massive warship was wavering, its shields dropping fast and the Pirate onslaught continuing, No help could be gotten from the escorts; they were all destroyed or busy with fighters.

But a few Izagas and 2 Igazras were able to escape their tormentors and charged the Pirates attacking the Igazrada. As two crescent warships exploded, the Pirates backed off from the Nightmare.

The Igadzra thought they had won that small duel, but they were wrong.

In a flash of white and blue, Lars Magna and his dreadnaught the Vengeance. The massive dreadnaught still lacked a good portion of its weapons, but it was still quite a large ship, bigger than even the Igazrada. As Pirates obliterated the escort ships, a set of 4 tractor beams from the Vengeace locked onto the Nightmare , which was now totally disabled and adrift.

Pulling hard, the Vengeance pulled the Nightmare in towards the ship and into a sort of groove in the underbelly of the Pirate dreadnaught. There docking clamps engaged, and Pirates swarmed aboard the ship, the crew dead, as Commander Iosa escaped in a lifepod which was recovered by another Igazra.

Swiftly turning around, Lars Magna retreated from Draco with his prize, as the Pirates continued on fighting their now severely weakened foe...

Iosa stepped onto the bridge. "Sir, I'm..."

Evaniol was silent. He looked out to the viewscreen, the pirate horde descending once more. "Silence, Iosa."

Iosa gulped, afraid that Evaniol was angry at him. He didn't say anything, and nor did Evaniol, for a long while.

Finally, Evaniol spoke up. "Iosa, you are in command of the fleet," he stated simply.

Iosa was taken aback. " Sir?!"

"Don't worry, we've heard word that SilverDragon is alive and well. He can help you. But I must leave."

"But why, sir?" Iosa asked, confused.

"Because I have something to do," Evaniol said, his voice distant. "Get back to your ship now, for in two minutes the Templar will be heading for Saopallo. I'm taking Lars Magna out."

- - -

The Templar exitted Draco, and the second it entered Saopallo two heavy freighters intercepted it and hooked up to it, supplying it with two hundred newly produced power cells for the deflector, a full complement of SAIs, and new shield generators. The outer hull of the Templar was still in bad shape, but that would hopefully not matter.

Then, the Templar shot off, hunting down the much heavier Vengeance pitilessly. The only man aboard the Templar was Evaniol himself, who had vowed not to sleep before he had hunted down that dreadnought and blasted it our of the stars.

Meanwhile, back at Draco, seventy five Kayan ships leapt into the system, led by Commander Lasin of the Kayan Militia. SilverDragon and Iosa had rallied IGNA forces, now numbering seventy five also, and the 150 strong fleet met against 300 FSA vessels.

Quickly conferring with the Kayans, they struck.

Outfitted with both turbophase and SAIs, the Kayan Militia was remarkably powerful, and together the two forces fought against their enemies. Pirates fell like flies, but the slow diminishing of IGNA ships was also very dangerous...seventy five became seventy...then sixty...the Kayans held up better, as the IGNA were simply in a wild frenzy.

The two Federation battlecruisers also entered the system, delivering their firepower and smashing apart FSA ships. Meanwhile, Izars swept around the sides, preventing the pirates from escaping.

The Ultimate Conspiracy - Part II

Dash Riprock hung up the MessagePhone on his ship and hit the bulkhead. For some strange reason, he couldnÂ’t get through to Helena, and no one would listen to him or speak to him. The secretary said something about a communications system upgrade.

“Great, just great...” Dash said to himself. “The system goes out just when I need it most.”

He turned to Daros. “Get the engines fired up. We’re going to Athena*.”

-------------

    • Athena, the Miranu capitol.

-------------

Several days later, Dash landed on Athena. The planet was beautiful; with the marvelous and well crafted capitol city, blue sky, massive fields of green grass. It was a paradise.

Walking into the Miranu capitol building, Dash approached the secretary and showed her his badge. “Now, are the communications lines upgraded so that I can speak with Helena?”

The Miranu frowned. “I didn’t hear anything about that. In fact, I don’t remember speaking to you before at all. Sure you aren’t confused with someone else?”

Dash shook his head but had to leave to check up on his ship, the Instigator. As he exited the building, he saw another cloaked figure approach the secretary, but then Dash turned and had to show his ID, then proceeded to his ship. If he had only watched a few moments more, he would have seen three other cloaked figures approach the secretary, one of which was holding a phase rifle.

A message had been recieved from the Kayans, reporting that the capitol was finally secure and the last of the Rebels had been slaughtered. Well, slaughtered wasnÂ’t the word they used, but Dash knew it was a slaughter. The Rebels were hopelessly outgunned and outmanned, and yet continued to fight to the last platoon, to the last rifle, to the last man. It seemed such a waste, but realistically, nothing more could be done, for the Rebels had made up their mind; no surrendering. A few did surrender, of course, but these were few in number and driven to surrender only by starvation, constant bombings, and cowardice.

Dash walked off the loading ramp of the Instigator and smiled at the ship. It had been given to him when he became cheif investigator, and it had been through quite a lot of action. Tracking smugglers, government raids, engagements with Pirates, inspecting frieghters, you name it.

What it hadnÂ’t been in yet was a spaceport gunbattle, but this wouldnÂ’t last forever. As Dash spoke with another Miranu military officer, he noticed out of the corner of his eye another Lazira. It was painted black and red, and he just noticed the phase turret on tome swing round and pointed at the Instigator.

”Get down!” Dash yelled as the turret fired. Fortunately Daros had seen it coming, and the Instigators shields were activated. The ship then returned fire with Phase Neutron turrets. The other Laziras shields were quickly blasted away, and a few bolts of phased neutron energy blasted into the ships hull near the engine section. The right wing of the ship disintigrated in a ball of fire as debris was thrown everywhere.

By that time militia troops were swarming the lazira. But before they could board the ship, the cockpit windows blew out and fire spewed into the air. The pilot had detonated a bomb, killing himself. As fire fighters and troopers poured onboard, Dash stared at the smoldering wreck. He overheard another Militia officer talking to a soldier. “You know, Lars Magna paints a lot of his ships black and red...

Rushing into the main government complex once again, sure that something was afoot, Dash noticed that the cloaked figure was gone and that the secretary was gone. In her place was another secretary, an Azdgari.

Dash approached her, his hand fingering a concealed phase neutron pistol. Kili, Dash’s personal guard, was standing behind him, phase neutron rifle in hand. Dash spoke to the secretary. “I need to speak with Helena immediately.”

“Did you try and pre-arrange your meeting?” she asked.

“What? I tried! I called you up but you said the communications lines were busy.”

“Ah yes. Just a moment...” the secretary said, reaching into her coat pocket.

”Kili, now!” Dash shouted, drawing his weapon and blasting the Azdgari in the chest. “Traitor!” he yelled as she tried to stand and draw her weapon again, but was blasted back by another energy bolt.

Dash suddenly turned as two cloaked figures emerged from a closet, phase rifles drawn. Kili saw them, however, and blasted one into the wall before they even saw him. Even for an Azdgari, Kili had fast reflexes.

Dash ducked behind the desk as the other figure opened fire with his rifle. Kili jumped behind another table as another figure ran into the hall carrying two small phase submachine guns.

Dash fired at the new figure, hitting him in the shoulder but not killing him. As Kili also fired on him, the first figure aimed at the Azdgari. Dash shouted, but his sentence was interrupted by a loud series of pulse blasts. The first gunman fell dead, blood pouring out of his back from multiple wounds as two Miranu soldiers rushed into the gunfight.

By that time Kili had taken aim and shot at the last gunman. As a phased neutron bolt blasted through his back and out of his chest, spraying blood onto the walls and floor, the door behind Kili opened and a Miranu officer walked out, weapon draw. Dash saw that it was pointed at Kili, realizing that the officer must really be a traitor. Working fast, Dash drew his laser knife and threw in at the assailant. The knife stabbed right into his chest, causing blood to come oozing out as it cut into his heart. The Miranu wavered, then collapsed on the ground.

Dash got up to check the pulse of the fake secretary. She was dead, along with all the others. He looked up and looked at Kili and the ever growing number of Miranu troopers. “Search the building and arrest anyone suspicious!”

Dash then looked around a hallway to the right. Checking several doors, he suddenly came across one that was knocked. It was for storage, and when Dash knocked, he heard a muffled noise from inside.

Knocking in the door with a swift kick just a few inches below the door-handle, the investigator opened the door fully and came across the real Miranu secretary, bound and gagged.

It was at that moment that Dash would have been killed if it were not for his instincts, which saved him and the life of the secretary. Dash felt that he was being watched, and began to turn around as the door on the opposite side of the hallway opened up with a bang and the last cloaked figure emerged, turbophase pistol in hand.

Riprock saw this, and swiftly kicked the gun out of his hand. But he didnÂ’t have time to grab his own pistol, and so sent a flying punch at the attacker, who blocked it and several more punches. Ducking under a kick, the attacker (who appeared to be an Azdgari) grabbed his hand as he tried to punch, and kicked him in the back with his arm. Dash fell, pulled his weapon and stood up. The attacker had his weapon, and fired. Dash ducked and fired at the attacker, who was too fast and did a head stand. Pushing off with his hand, he flew into the air, spun, then landed on the ground and his two feet. Dash fired, the attacker ducked and backed off and hid behind an open door.

The two exchanged shots at each other, and then the attacker rushed out, jumped onto a door, pushed off from the door and flew at Dash, who had done the same thing. The two enemies, constantly firing but missing, collided in midair and fell to the ground. Dash fell on the floor with the attacker on top, but with a swift kick and jab the attacker was sent flying over his head and to the floor.

As he struggled up, Dash already had his weapon drawn and brought it directly to the side of the enemies head. “Dodge this.”

BLAM!! A bolt of phase neutron energy blasted into the attackers head and some blood spurted out. As the figured dropped to the floor, blood oozing from his head, Dash looked at him grimly. Reaching down to check for ID or anything useful, Dash found a distinctly Pirate looking laser knife, as well as a small but powerful turbophase bomb. Dash assumed it was to be used against Helena, but the Pirate hadnÂ’t been able to set it yet.

As the secretary was revived and debreifed, Dash messaged his new Horoth contact, who said that the bombing of a bus in a Horoth city (which had killed the first contact) had been linked to a black and red colored lazira that had visited Horoth space a few days before.

There was, however, one point that was most disturbing.

While looking through the wreckage of the bridge of the battered Lazira, the Miranu engineers (that had been assigned to look through the wreckage and try to find anything of use to the investigators) had found a singed but easily identifiable Quantum Pistol.

Quantum Weaponry was only used by a few governments; the Kiran - who had disappeared, the Federation - who would never do such a thing as to give Pirates weapons, and the Pirates of the Milky Way - the United Pirate League, who would definitely ally themselves with Lars Magna and his Pirate legion.

Now Dash would have to travel back to Deneba, and then to the Milky Way to continue the investigation...

OOC: SilverDragon - Well excuse me for mixing up two of your impressively large number of characters 😉 I did in fact read your whole post, and realize the ITA was destroyed, but we thought the pirates were pretty much doomed too a while ago, and look what happened to them. Either way, I think you can probably figure out what I meant 🙂

IC:

At the New Kayan Science Institute, archeologists and scientists working together had just put the finishing touches on the fully restored tachyonic generator. It required a strong power supply to run (the power source the scientists used was forced to run for two hours straight to store enough energy for a thirty second test run.) It was decided to conduct a small scale test in a sealed room instead of a full system test. The test was a success, and a larger power source was started up, to save energy for a full scale tachyonic field - one strong enough to seal a whole system. Where and when such a field would be used - nobody knew yet.

The Solidarity is ready to let the S.S.S. Savior send an Horoth vessel to the Andromeda galaxy where it will land, we hope in Horosk space. The Horosk are closely related to the Horoth.

We invite your nation to send a small diplomatic mission with the S.S.S. Savior.

Nelson Psack,
at the head of the Sladerei Solidarity.

@ @ @ @ END @ @ @ @

The Savior was now ready to fullfile the Horoth destroyer's journey across towards the Andromeda galaxy. The final preparatives were to be done during the remainning two posts until the departure from DSN-1003. The Savior would let the RavenShadow do the travel solo, like a good boy. But first, the Savior had to return to the Milky Way.

The research team on Coron had discovered a biological enhancer: a chemical compound that increased life regeneration. Though it was in pittiful condition, some traces remained to study it and produce some. The samples had been sent to Grenits in order to find out how they could be multiplied to facilitate Grenits's occupation. In four posts, Grenits will be able to increasse its "liveble" area.

Ad Astra Per Aspera - "A rough road leads to the stars"

I cannot post as much as I was able to(even though THAT was small), due to crashes with my Internet. Silverdragon, you can control my character, as he is a part of the IXD. I will read the topic, but I cannot post frequently enough to keep up with the plotline.

------------------
"Thank you, thank you. Now you're all under arrest!"

OOC: No offence intended, Redeye, but I'd rather not control your character - firstly, he yours, and secondly, my character number and balance is very fine. I'll take it on for a while, though, but IXD won't be too important for a while. : )

My characters being SilverDragon, Lans (The Late), Heraphar (The Later), Darre (Oh my God is he Late), Evaniol, Iosa, Daena, Haar (He's so late he hasn't even showed up yet), and Laiors. Plus Aldaris and yours truly in a bit.

- - -

The Battle of Draco was coming to an end, there was no doubt about that. Many FSA ships fled, uncontrolled, but many more were slaughtered by the frenzied IGNA.

The Kayans had lost twenty five ships in total, and IGNA had lost fifty since the Kayans came into the battle. At this point, the entire Igadzra defence force was gone. The Citadel had been disabled, the IGNA armada destroyed, the Ethereal reduced to stardust, the Nightmare captured by Lars Magna, and the Templar long gone in search of Lars' dreadnought.

But from the wrecks would come the Igadzra reborn, stronger than ever before.

- - -

A dark purple vessel entered Cerberus, where SilverDragon had been recovering the Igadzra from the strike. It swept forward, unopposed. The vessel was a hundred metres long, and was very familiar.

The Zidara made it's way down to the Gateway, landing on the first docking bay, widely due to the fact the entire docking ring was empty, almost lonely. From out of the Zidara stepped a tall, confident figure. Admiral Aldaris.

He was met at the docking bay by SilverDragon, who, although was still in all rights merely the IXD commander, had taken over the situation, leading the Assembly in reparation.

"Greetings, Admiral," SilverDragon said politely, offering his hand. Aldaris took it.

Aldaris was an aged man, his hair pale, but his skin showed no signs of degeneration, and his body and his eyes both were strong. He was a strong man, both confident and wise.

"And you, Commander," Aldaris replied. "I heard you had a proposition for me?"

SilverDragon nodded. "As you know, the ITA have been suppressed, and the territory they liberated has been secured. However, we know that the Zidagar do not deserve or want to serve Igadzra. We also know that our own people are once again demanding a change in government."

Aldaris' faces looked vaguely interested. His blue-purple eyes glittered. "What are you suggesting, Commander?"

"Get back to Titan, Admiral, and select five of your most loyal officials. We're reforming the Assembly - with half Zidagar. IGNA will not conscript Zidagar, and thus you will be given funds to create your own Zidagar military."

Aldaris looked more alive than he had in a long time. "I have an idea in mind already...excuse me."

The Zidagar darted off to a comm.link.

- - -

SilverDragon was left in his quarters, not changed since his time of being Emperor, to consider the matter. With 59% Igadzra population and 39% Zidagar population, it was impossible for the Igadzra Union as a whole to function as Igadzra.

Thus, the government must have a more major change than having Zidagar in the Assembly. The nature of the Assembly itself must change.

There was a huge line of reparations that needed to take place, as well as reforming the entire government. Quite frankly, no-one knew really where to start.

A new government would be created. The only problem SilverDragon could see, as he sat their in his quarters, was what they would be called.

- - -

Draco was in a mess. The colonies would be repaired, however, and meanwhile the plan was to build 300 new IGNA vessels to protect Igadzra space.

Right now, the situation was being categorised into areas, and each area was being supplied whatever funds were available.

Meanwhile, Aldaris was beginning to find Zidagar who would join a new military force which would begin it's life in twelve days, once IGNA had been reformed to some extent. After which, 300 ZSN ships would be constructed from the bottom up, with turbophase and deflectors to make them reasonable in power. For the most part, they would be Zidagar vessels, and would use Zidagar weaponry and tactics.

After both IGNA and ZSN had a number of ships, operations would begin to a) repair the Citadel and 🆒 develop an IGNA weapon to back up already existing firepower.

Word.

In Grenits, shipyards were still assembling the Sixth Armada. The Fifth one was completed and traning in order to protect the system if the battle of Kelmaon turned to disaster.

If the battle was won by the Voinians, the First and Second Armada would be sent to the other galaxy in Horoth space as the asked. Those Armada would replaced the Savior during its voyage, even though it had not done anything yet. The two Armada would temper the region and gain experience against other kinds of ennemy.

The stellar defence mecanism had been completed with four hundreds armed space-farms orbitting at various altitudes. They were all equiped with the Tachy-kinetic weaponery. The normal space-farms were also popuilating space in the system at a number somewhat exeding height hundreds. With them, Grenits was now fully independant.

The researches on the living-form found on Coron was "easy", most of the DNA was good enough condition to be reproduced. The bactery had the special capacity to turn certain compounds, like sulfurs into carbon based compounds. This reaction produced less dangerous chemical substances that are not toxic, but not eatable. The transformation was fast and affordable, in comparison to other means of decontamination.

When the Solidarity-Council had voted the continuation of the researches on this new "product", the military took interrest in the new technology and asked for a sample. It could regenerate at a much faster rate the carbon based polymer armor. However, the Council had decided that they wait, for more solid results from the civil research team in posts.

Salutations Å• la vie

The Voinian battle fleet was ready. With 60,000 ships at Holmm, 90,000 ships at Emalghion, and 80,000 ships at DSN-8200, making 220,000 ships total. Alpha Force (80,000 ships) would attack Kelmaon, Beta Force (70,000) would attack DSN-1469, and Delta Force (70,000) would attack Kirrim.

Alpha hypered out of Emlaghia for Kelmaon. In the Kelmaon system, an Edien Cruiser patroled the system along with other ships.

"Sir," The Edien ensign asked, "When will we see some action? The Voinians haven't done anything in weeks. I want some excitement!"

"We'll see action soon enough." The captain replied, "Soon enough. And why are you anxious to get some action? You wanna get killed?" He sighed, "You new guys are all the same."

The esigned decided not to speak anymore in fear of having a hole the size of a baseball in his chest.

Suddenly, the sensor pannel started beeping like crazy.

"Um sir....." The scanner officer began.

"What is it?"

"Um, you might want to look out the window now, sir."

"On screen!" The captain ordered.

The screen bleeped on, and the captains jow dropped as 80,000 Voinian Frigates, Cruisers and Heavy Destroyers leaped into the system, then the Edien ships watched in confusion as they all dissapeared.

"Scan for enemy ships!" The captain bellowed.

"Scanners aren't picking up anything sir. Not a trace."

"What happened? Did they cloak?"

The words hardly got out of his mouth before the entire Voinian armada decloaked behind the Edien defence fleet and opened fire with all weapons.

----------------------------------------------
In the DSN-1469 system......
----------------------------------------------

The Edien ships were patroling, when, suddenly, 70,000 Voinian warships leaped into the sytem. The Ediens were suprised but they opened fire with all weapons. The Voinian ships, however, didn't get hit, they all cloaked before the weapons fire reached them.

The Ediens stood there for a while, wondering what happened to the Voinian fleet. But they already knew, they had cloaked, and they didn't know when they would pop up.

Suddenly, the Voinian fleet decloaked around the station orbiting the planet. They imedietly opened fire on the station, destroying it, but not before the station destroyed some ships. But before the Ediens could open fire themselves, the Voinian ships cloaked again.

Again, the Voinian ships decloaked. The Ediens turned to where they were and opened fire. A few ships were destroyed but before any other ships could they cloaked. The Ediens, by now, were quite annoyed and were getting tired of this cat and mouse game.

After abouty half an hour, the Ediens decided that they were gone and started to disperse and lower their aleart status, when suddenly, the entire Voinian fleet decloaked in the midsts of them!

The Voinians opened fire and the Ediens were in utter confusion.....

----------------------------------------------
In the Kirrim system......
----------------------------------------------

The Ediens were patrolling, as usual, when they got an urgent message.

"What?!?!?" The Edien Commander screamed.

"Kelmaon and DSN-1469 are under heavy attack by Voinian forces!"

"Send reinforcements! Inform Edien command that-"

He was cut off by the scanner officer.

"Sir! 70,000 Voinian warships just hypered into this system!!!"

"Prepare for battle! Inform the rest of the fleet!"

"Yes si-" The scanner officer paused and stared at his console.

"What is it?!"

"They've cloaked sir! All of them!"

"What!? Tell the rest of the flee-"

He was interupted again by a large blast and the ship shaking.

"What's going on now?"

"The Voinians decloaked in back of our fleet and opened fire!" The sanner officer said as another blast shook the ship.

"On screen!"

The screen turned on and showed the mayham outside.

"Oh my....." The commander said right before his ship exploded in a ball of fire.

An admeral controling some Miranu sector was getting scared by the attacks on the systems. He sent about 60,000 ships to help with the massecre in each system. He also Sent a message to Grunadulater and got a reply for him to do something. At that moment, the project for the ERS (Enhanced Radar System) had started.
-----
The Ediens in the three systems knew that thier forces were being broken. The Edien commanders in each system sent messages to eachother. The messages were brocasted and suddenly, all Edien ships jumped to Kirrim.
-----
In Kirrim, when the Edien ships arrived, they outnumbered the Voinian fleet. They fought as hard as they could, and began to win. Any ship that would come to close to the surface of Kirrim would be shot down by weapons in the crust of the planet.

The system DSN-1003 had been isolated to make that if the Worm-Hole Generator failed, the consequences would only affect this system. The S.S.S. Savior was standing with the Horoth Destroyer RavenShadow in the deep vaccum. The hour had came and everything was ready for the Voyage. The Kayan and RA emissary had came to see the departure and had their own section abord the Savior. If the first diplomatic atempt was successful with the Horosk, they might have a chance to meet them

The Voyage would take about nine days. The gate opened in DSN-1003 would be closed five hours after the Destroyer had reached the Andromeda Galaxy.

In the control room, humidity took controle of the room as the final procedures were completed. The countdown had started and was slowly approching zero. Nelson Psack came rose up and walked towards the microphone. He started by saying:

- Before we leave, I want to let us remember that this is the final achievement that the Solidarity has undertaken more than sixty years ago to find an better world. This endavour has already been tested and works. Now I ask that the men and women in this room make this ship move towards our backyard,

For the benifit of the peaceful nations that have participate in this project.

For the "reunion" of the Horoth and their brothers Horosk

For the disovery of a new world.

As he finished his speech, Kayan, RA, Horoth and Sladerei flags were lowered. When the countdown reached ten, everyone counted: 9...8...7...6...4...3...2...1...Zerooo! Both tachyon and subspace pulses formed a discontinuity in DSN-1003 and eight minutes later the RavenShadow slowly moved towards the Andromeda Galaxy. The vibrations coming from the engines and kinetic powerplants were light but could become ennoying in the end. .

DSN-1003 was empty, forgetting about the tons of hydrogen atoms and other small particles, it was really empty. Only communication waves transitted during the nine days it took for the Horoth vessel to arrive in the Andromeda galaxy. Before beign shutdown, the opening leading to the Savior was of a diameter of two kilometers, at the beginning, the hole created measured more then a hundred.

In the system that would host the RavenShadow during at least fifteen minutes was still not aware of the presence of the worm-hole.

As the H.M.S. RavenShadow came out of the worm-hole, something strange happened...

(This message has been edited by Admiral Nelson (edited 11-28-2001).)

After a few days, Aldaris returned to the Gateway, to report that he had gathered two thousand Zidagar willing to enter the ZSN, and that he would continue to gather more recruits upon his return.

He also had to report another piece of news - he had found his Colonel, the ZSN equivalent of a subcommander.

- - -

SilverDragon blinked. "Excuse me?"

He was in one of the conference chambers, empty other than three other people. Iosa Kane, with his subcommander badge worn proudly on his black and gold IGNA uniform, stood at the back, also seeming quite taken aback.

Admiral Aldaris faces SilverDragon, wearing a purple Zidagar Military uniform with a newly designed pattern over the crest, elaborately stating "ZSN" with an image of a what seemed to be a Zidagar bird of prey.

It was the fourth figure that SilverDragon and Iosa were shocked by. A tallish figure, about 6'1", wearing loose clothes in deepest indigo - not traditional Zidagar military colour. The man's skin was a paler purple, not quite Zidagar, and it was not as reptilian. The figures head had only a little in common with the Zidagar, most noticeably the large indigo eyes. His crest was shorter yet sharper, and his hands were much less clawlike.

SilverDragon recognised the figure as part Zidagar, part human. He didn't know such offspring existed, in fact, he wasn't sure it was possible for a Zidagar and a human to mate successfully.

Aldaris swept his hand to the side to indicate the figure. "He shall be my Colonel, and will lead the ZSN when I cannot."

Iosa stepped forward. "Excuse me...but just what is he?"

Iosa found himself taking three heavy stares. SilverDragon's should have, in reality, have had the most effect no him, but for some reason, it was the hybrid's cold stare that made him jump.

"I am who I am," the hybrid replied simply, seeing no reason to explain himself. SilverDragon took the figure in - not his physical features as such, but his stance, and his actions. The man was obviously confident, and his eyes seemed to take in more than most would. A good choice for a Colonel, but one question remained.

"Excuse me, Admiral, can I have a word with you a moment?" SilverDragon asked, indicating Aldaris to follow him into the adjoining room.

Nodding to the hybrid, Aldaris followed SilverDragon.

Shutting the door, SilverDragon turned to Aldaris, and got straight to the point. "How can a hybrid be possible?" SilverDragon asked bluntly.

Aldaris replied, choosing his words carefully. "I know whether a human can breed with a Zidagar, but in the case of my Colonel, the situation is different. His genetic building is artificial."

SilverDragon once again blinked. "Do you mean he's a genome?"

Aldaris nodded. "We, like all other races, have looked into the prospect of genomes. Many consider it a much more 'effective' way of producing super-organic being than cybernetics, but in this case of the good Colonel, he is no more super-organic than you or I. Some might call him a test, or a mistake. I advise you don't bring up his origins."

SilverDragon nodded. "What's his name?"

"Corsair," Aldaris replied. "Lyat Corsair, although he more commonly goes by Esponer."

The Templar had travelled long and far, and now it's time had come. As it entered NSI-0001, where the dreadnought had led him, he picked up the Lars Magna's vessel at the edge of the system.

Aboard the Templar , Evaniol was grinning broadly, looking almost as mad as Lars Magna himself. He had indeed not slept since he had taken off, not an hour, not a blink. Every moment had been spent on the bridge.

And now he would find his peace, a streak of SAI modules being his guide.

The Solidarity was now able to defend it self properly with five Armada in place ready to get off from the Station or from Grenits. The Frist, Second and Third were those with the most experience, essentially pilots which had decided to stay in the Navy, instead of settling down. The Fourth and Fifth were the new ones that had been newly built. The Sixth was in progress of complition and the Academy was not lacking new pilots. The sons and daughters borned on Grenits had in head that their parents had drifted through the start in fighters or in Destroyers... It was a reminder of the Solidarity's tradition and great abilities in the three dimensions of space.

The bactery had been isolated and could reproduced itself well in Grenits's soil. The results of the bacteria eating the toxins in the earth were encouraging. As for Green Booster, the new discovery would enhance the Solidarity's lifestyle: the area available to house Sladerei will increase to one third of Grenits, while now it was at one eleventh.

The request from the Navy to use this technology had passed had the Solidarity-Council. The goal modify the bactery's comportement to transform sulfur into polymer. The bactery would be placed at strategic locations on a ship and would produce a certain amount of armor. This will increase the ship's resistance to enemy fire. Though this technology is still at an early stage of development, it will certainly help the ship's capacities to regenerate the armor. Further information will be known during the experimentations. In five posts the armor enhancer should be available to the Navy.

As the Diplomatic Mission entered Rigel to set the Sladerei Solidarity ambassy in RA space, a member of the Mission sent this message to RA officials:

@ @ @ @ Message to Renegade Alliance (UVe) @ @ @ @

The Solidarity is currently working on developping an armor regenerator. The Solidarity-Council knows that the RA ahs developped a plant the produces metal and would like to share the knowledge in this field.

The armor's repair ime is decrease by an unknown factor, due to the early stage of research, can make the difference.

Sladerei Solidarity Diplomatic Military Official.

The Voinian ships in Kirrim weren't stupid, and knew they were outnumbered. All the remaining Voinian ships in Kirrim decided to use a new stratagy. Once the commander gave the order, they all cloaked and the Ediens were left to wonder. Suddenly, a Voinian frigate decloaked on the outscirts of the system and hypered out before the Ediens could catch it.

In the Kelmaon system and DSN-1469 system, the Edien ships had left and the Voinians conquered the systems. They eliminated all Edien bases and cities on the planet and established their own. They started bringing in reinforcements and soon the systems were well guarded.

Suddenly, the Voinian Frigate from the Kirrim system leaped in. It imedietly contacted Voinian HQ and told them what happened. It also told them that the other fleet is cloaked and waiting for reinforcements to come.

The Voinians instantly went into action. They gathered up almost all ships in the Kelmaon system and DSN-1469 system, and got ready to hyper into Kirrim. After a couple minutes, the fleet was ready, they leaped out of DSN-1469 and into Kirrim, where they cloaked imedietly.

The Edien ships knew something was up, but they didn't quite know what. Suddenly, the reinforcement Voinian invasion force decloaked in the midsts of the Edien fleet, and the original Kirrim invasion force delcloaked in the back of the Edien fleet. The Ediens were in utter confusion and they were outnumbered. They fought back bravely, but they were losing and they wouldn't last for long.

After a couple hours, nothing was left of the Edien defence force. The Voinians obliterated all cities and bases on the planet, and invaded. Tons of reinforcements were brought in to all 3 systems.

The Voinians had won.

MOD: Nelson, a few things to note:

  1. It would be impossible to make a wormhole from the New Galaxy to Andromeda. Just making one from the Milky Way to Andromeda is hard enough.
  2. If you sent the Savior through, it'd collapse, and the Savior would be destroyed by distabilizing the wormhole, which would lead to a quick collapse. Send in a small ship.
  3. Look at all posts in GH! If you did you would have seen that Scorcher messaged you about what you should do to make a successful jump.

Please edit your post, saying that the Savior first travelled back to the Milky Way, and then sent a Horoth destroyer through the wormhole and into Horosk space (send the Horoth because they can deal with the Horosk better).

------------------

The Horoth Destroyer "Ravenshadow", piloted by Captain Trovos, zoomed out of the wormhole and into the Andromeda galaxy. Captain Dredask, a Sladerei who was onboard the destroyer, gaped in awe of his home galaxy.

The Ravenshadow moved forward, and the sensor officer gasped and nearly screamed. "OH SHOOT!!" he yelled. "Sir! The wormhole was off in its targetting; we're not in Horosk space, we're in Edien space!"

Trovos swore as he watched the viewscreen; and about 500 Edien ships charging ahead arming their weapons.

Suddenly, a swarm of cyan and blue color ships zoomed above the Ravenshadow and plowed into the Edien fleet, weapons blazing. "It's the Horosk sir! They must be raiding the system!"

Trovos watched the battle unfold. The Horosk hit the Ediens hard but started to retreat when another 500 Edien ships were launched and came screaming into the battle. As the Horosk withdrew, the destroyer was hit hard by a quantum torpedo from an Edien battlecruiser.

"Retreat back through the wormhole!" Trovos ordered.

"I can't sir!!"

"Why not?"

BANG!!! "Engines are disabled, sir!"

BANG!! BANG!! The destroyers shields were blasted away as the Edien battlecruiser neared, but suddenly the Edien warship was blasted away as rockets streamed into it. As the burning hulk started to drift away, a group of 2 Horosk Frigates and a Cruiser moved into position in front of the Ravenshadow.

A hail came through to the Horoth ship. "Alien vessel, this is Commander Thorin of the Horosk fleet. Get back through your jumpgate! Now!"

Before Trovos could retreat, his ship was hit with a concussion missile. The impact blasted the vessel back through the wormhole...

...A few moments later, Trovos opened his eyes.

He was in the Milky Way, with the Savior just a few kilometers away.

He sighed and was about to order the ship back to base, when suddenly the sensor officer turned to him. "Sir, the wormhole wasn't closed yet; and I'm detecting multiple ship signatures approaching through the wormhole!"

Trovos and the Horoth and Sladerei in the DSN-1003 system (where the wormhole was created) watched as three ships emerged from the wormhole. The wormhole flucuated, then closed with a boom. The ships stared at the vessels who had come through...

The Horosk ships that had pushed the Ravenshadow back through the wormhole, they had been pulled through accidentally.

The Horosk ships armed their weapons and charged shields, locking their weapons on any ship in the system. They were obviously frightened and paranoid about all this. Trovos hailed the Savior, saying that it would be best to hail the Horosk and tell them of their intentions...

Millennium. Its coming, prepare for it.
Coming to the (url="http://"http://www.ambrosiaSW.com/games/ev/chronicles.html")EV Chronicles(/url).

No news had been received yet from Evaniol. It was hoped that he had succeeded in his goal, but it could hardly be thought possible.

Iosa Kane had taken command of IGNA for the time being, and Evaniol would remain commander...if he survived.

The most important news throughout, however, was that the political change was complete. The Igadzra Union was no more.

The Strand League had been formed. Supported by military divisions IGNA, ZSN and IXD, the Strand League was one of the most powerful governments in the Large Megellanic Cloud, and soon, with the work of people like SilverDragon and Aldaris, it would be the strongest, and would be on a par with governments like the Federation and the Voinians.

- - -

Draco had been repaired, and most other colonies had recovered from the fighting between IGNA and the ITA. The new Strand League was beginning to prosper with a more stable and totally secure economy.

And now, a new technological operation would begin - the particle railgun. It was designed to be a more accurate, unlimited, replacement for the rocket launcher, and both thoron beams and pulse cannons would disappear throughout IGNA once it was completed.
