Notes:
1-The Current Allies:

Azdgari/Igadzra/Azdgari
Federation/Voinians/Kiran
Horoth/Renegade Alliance/Kayans

The current Enemies:

Akrahd vs. Everyone (xenophobic)
Rarkyl vs. Everyone (xenophobic)
Ediens vs. Everyone (xenophobic)
Pirates vs. Everyone (xenophobic)

2-The only government which is capable of creating the technology that would allow people to go to and from the Milky Way and the New Galaxy is the Kayian Alliance. They have already found a way to get through the sub-space rift and go in-between the Milky Way and Refugee Galaxy, but only 50 ships can go through at one time.
3-There is absolutely no way anyone can get to the Andromeda galaxy except for the Ediens.
4-The Rarkyl and Horosk are currently just background development races to be brought in at a later time.

Politics always worked the same way.

Any political, ecological, technological, humanitarian or otherwise change works in the same way. First of all, everything goes slowly. Then, events move ahead faster and faster, until finally events simply skyrocket out of control.

From the time the Igadzra Union was split into four seperate organisations onwards, that buildup has been occuring.

Finally, the situation has moved out of control.

- - -

It was dark that night, at New Maciay, the capital city of Triam Rios in Oloni. Darker than most previous nights had been - darker than any night since Triam Rios had been built. Some might have called it a sign, and those people, for once, would have been at least partially correct.

Every colony, be it belonging to the ITA, IGNA or IXD, would have an administrative command base, usually visited by a member of the Assembly every few weeks. The base in New Maciay was one of the most heavily guarded, for obvious reasons. Gun turrets were set along trench-lines, out of range of any rebels. The Igadzra Trading Authority knew exactly why it had been set up like this, but no-one knew just how ahead of everyone else they were.

At 11:59pm, a mere second before midnight, the turrets and base shielding would switch off for a microsecond as power cells were switched. A small group inside the ITA, known as Kestrel, had picked up this information via an insider, and now was the time to act on it.

In a blink of light too fast for the naked eye to pick up, the entire network went down. So fast, in fact, that computers within the base were unaffected, as electricity continued to travel. This time, however, one certain unexpected event would occur.

The network didn’t come back up again.

Within seconds, a huge mass of Kestrel, Talon’s Guardsmen and other mercenary groups hired by the ITA stormed the IAC base. Meanwhile, two Stargliders armed with military technology moved in from above and bombarded the compound.

Half an hour later, the area was secure, and Oloni was completely under control of President Heraphar.

Meanwhile, the same was occuring on Titan, Kedan, Maktee and Coya. Before even the faintest signal could be sent to the Assembly, the ITA had reformed into their own force.

- - -

Bellaraphon was quiet. Only twenty-five IGNA vessels patrolled the area, all of which were new, and thus comprised of about two Igazras, eight Izagas, and fifteen Izars, instead of the old fleet compliments of 1:1:1 ships. There would have been more ships patrolling, had it not been that the IGNA subcommander had earlier declared they would not fully patrol any system that the ITA complained should be given more independance.

This was an incredibly stupid act by Subcommander Iosa, as time would show.

During a regular patrol route, one Igazra and two Izagas swept past a pair of two Izars. It was over before it started. The Izars went down under a mass of turbophase fire.

The ITA loyal Igadzra vessels were quickly swarmed upon by SAI modules once confusion had been put aside, but the outlines weren’t quite as simple as they seemed. A barrage of modules apparently heading for the traitors instead swept out and hit more of the loyal ships. Meanwhile, a wing of twenty Stargliders moved into the system, all having been built for the Igadzra Trading Authority.

The IGNA fleet was vaporised, and the heavy Igadzra vessels moved in to wipe the IGNA garrison on the planet clean.

- - -

The Guardian , a modified Igazra, once belonging to an IGNA captain that had been assassinated by Kestrel agents, entered the Homeward system, only twenty light years from Lars Magna’s nearest stronghold.

Aboard the ship was President Heraphar himself. Wasting no time, Heraphar sent a long-range message to the planetary command on Syter.

“This is President Heraphar of the Igadzra Revolutionists, more commonly known as the Igadzra Trading Authority. Just twelve minutes ago, we secured Oloni, Titan, Kedan, Maktee, Coya and Bellaraphon as our bases. All Igadzra Union presence has been eliminated.”

“I request an audience with Lars Magna, your leader, concerning the forging of an alliance. I am currently in the Homeward system, but I will tolerate no tricks.”

After a while, a message arrives from the Pirate base on Barah. "Our leaders has considered your request, and granted it. Come to Barah and then we will escort you to Syter.”

Satisfied, the Guardian left Homeward for Barah.

- - -

Entering Barah, the Guardian put up it’s shields, which were majorly enhanced, at the lack of weaponry - although, this was nothing that was obvious to a minor scan, and it was unlikely any deep scans would be performed in the split second chance to run that might be needed to escape any pirates.

Locking onto the communications command on Barah, Heraphar sent another message.

“I am President Heraphar of the Igadzra Revolutionists. I request that you escort me to Syter.”

"This is Barah Fleet Command; prepare to be escorted to Syter by two Crescent Warships,” came the reply.

Two sleek Crescent Warships moved in to flank the Guardian , and they began their short journey to Syter, in which Heraphar began to compose a long-range signal message...

- - -

(From President Heraphar of the Igadzra Revolutionists)
(To Akrahd Command)

I would like to ask of you that you speak with Lars Magna of the pirates ASAP. I am attempting to forge an alliance with him and his pirate warfleet, to help crush many enemies of the Large Megellanic Cloud, including the pitiful Igadzra Union and their warmachine, the IGNA, as well as the Horoth. I believe you would benefit from working with us.

The three of us would be unstoppable.

(end message)

- - -

The Guardian and the two pirate warships that “escorted” it entered the pirate capital of Syter, a heavily defended base - so heavily defended that it was frightening.

This time, Heraphar did not send a message again. He allowed his escorts to take him down onto the planet, and across through various areas of the main city, until finally, he came face to face with Lars Magna.

From one sight, it was obvious this man was quite insane. There was a sort of frenzied look in his eyes that said it all. Heraphar was afraid, but not for the first time. He knew fear, but he had never expected to feel it here, be it in the heart of one of the most powerful governments in the refugee galaxy.

“Greetings, Lars,” Heraphar muttered, struggling to keep his voice level. “Have you considered my offer?”

Lars thought over Heraphar’s request, his eyes darting this way and that, a sort of manical look on his face. "Yes... Yes... An alliance with the Igadzra would be quite profitable... Profit, yes... Technology, very yes... We can only offer our enhanced thoron beam, but believe me, it's better than yours. Of course, I'll want a look at some of your technologies as well... Yes, I would like that very much..."

Heraphar’s eyes flashed. “We’re not the Igadzra as you think of them...we are the Igadzra Revolutionists, not the Igadzra Union. As for our weaponry, I am willing to give you the specs. for turbophase right here and now.”

"Willing? Good... Give me the turbophase immediately, and I'll give you the Enhanced Thoron Beam immediately... As for your name, I care not, you're just Igadzra for all I care..."

“Done,” came the reply from Heraphar, and one of the most deadly alliances in existance was forged.

All the while, Codax, formerly of the Zidagar Rebels, looked on from down on Syter, him and his ships now being fully integrated into the pirates. Smiling a knowing smile at the realisation that Lars would soon be invincible, he left the area, unseen.

------------------
Word.

The Nightmare was completed, and as it rolled out of the production line and flew out of orbit of Cerberus to meet the Templar, it's weapon's charged already. It seemed almost like to symbol against the ITA, those two Igazradas. The two Federation Battlecruisers in the system also made an impressive site, but not the same symbol.

IGNA was at war.

Only a day had passed since the initial ITA event, and already IGNA was gathering for the assualt. They would crush the ITA into the soil of Oloni, never to form again.

Politics always worked the same war. Things went from a slow crawl to uncontrollably speeds that rocketed out of control. However, those events would die down, if IGNA had anything to do with it.

Grunadulater flew his ship all the way back to warpgate 1. He flew in, with about 50 ships following him.
-----
The swirling colors around him gave of a bluesh tinge. Grunadulater felt the sensation he hadn't felt in months take him over. His Warpmap show him exactly where he would have to get out to goto a system. But he didn't go out until he was at the very end of the blue tunnel, and he was seeing the planet of Edien. He smiled as he remembered the good times, where they had been the most powerful. He knew, though, that they were not a huge match to these aliens from the Milky Way. He felt the anger come back to him as he thought of how they had taken the Empire and torn its cloak of invencibility. But they would never give up. The Ediens were true warrior species, wanting to kill everything. This would happen one day.
----------
The Dark Voyager 2 and its fleet landed at Edien city and Grunadulater walked up to the council building, where he, Rigadaz, and the other council members had spoken so long ago... He stode to the turbolift, to get to the top of this great tower. It was terrific to be recognized like a leader again, Grunadulater thought as a guard saluted him. As he reached the top, he walked over and sat down in Rigadaz's seat. It rose a few inches of the ground as Grunadulater powered it up. In front of him sat the 12 other members of the council. Grunadulater spoke loud and clear;
"Greetings my fellow council members, I have brought you here today to solve a problem. The problem has been plauging us for six years. I suggest we do something about it. Will you please explain, admeral Dev'ron."
"Thank you. We have been attacking the aliens in the Milky Way galexy for some time now. Over the years, thier technology has become more advanced. But ours had not. We do not have the money or time to creat a new weapon, therefor we will take anothers. We do not noramly do this, but we may have no choice. We will take a vote."murmurs went around the room. Everyone cast their votes in. Everyone except Dev'ron. He was the newest member and very nervous.
"I say.... Yes."
"It is then seddled. We will steal weapons from the Rarkyl."
"What!"
"No!"
"Yes, it's the only w-"
"QUIET! This is the way it will be. I suggest everyone here commands thier sector to do this. This meeting is over." Grunadulater jumped down and walked back to the lift.
-----
The council was falling apart. Grunaudlater wished he could stop it. He couldn't. The new weapons would help though. He thought of this as he sailed into the warpgate.

"Are you sure the powers off?"

A test would be done with the Savior in a week, like the one two months ago. It would charge its capaciators before the critical limit, then jumps towards and come back to Grenits. It would also be attack by a few squadrons and then by a small armada. Most of the elements in place were ready to be tested, but everything had to be doublely, triplely checked, and rerechecked. The Solidarity would soon see the Savior burst towards infinity and even further.

The researches about the new torpedo were undergoing some problems: the Solidarity was not used to used molecular cubanes as explosives. Normally, one of the kinetic generators that provides the power to thrust the torpedo was used as a detonnator to make the two other explode. But now, those three kinetic generator would be replace by two bigger ones and a cubane warhead. The compound would not be use to thrust this machine of war but would supply an incredible power for its size and mass. The speed of the tropedo should not decrease, since the mass will stay the same and the two engines-warhead are more powerful. They will also provide a longer range. In a week, the weapon will be tested.

The Solidarity-council had accepted the request from the Foreign-council to send more vessels to the New Galaxy. They would aslo be useful when the Savior would warp out after its trip between the two galaxies. This armada will also bring new equipment to Coron where work was slow but steady. The S.S.A. will be composed of one squadrons of fighters, three frigates and a detachment of the Sladerei Solidarity Merchants, five freighters and three shuttles. This S.S.A. will join the one already in the New Galaxy, based on Horath.

MOD: Um, Nelson, you can test the WHG right now by going to the New Galaxy. It should be done by now and be ready for it.

Also, try and use posts instead of weeks for your research and build times. It makes it easier to follow, and besides, post time varies depending on the kind of post and what happens in it.

Oh, one last thing; it's not a good idea to research or work on more than 3 things at a time. It drains your economy and hampers growth and shipbuilding.

Lars Magna grinned as Heraphar left for ITA space. He called to his cheif lieutenant, Drake Headstone. "Assemble my armies."

"Yes sir. Will we be aiding the ITA?" Drake asked.

Lars grinned evilly, and then spoke. "For the moment, yes. While it is profitable for us we will side with them. But at the heart and core, the ITA are still the Igadzra Union and therefore our enemies. And as you well know, Drake, dealing with your enemies can be very un-profitable at times."

Drake laughed and then, before he left, reported in. "Research on the Vengeance is complete, and work has already begun. Also, our workers are studying the Trans-Phasic technology and will make use of it soon enough."

Lars nodded as Drake left. The Vengeance, his Pirate Dreadnaught, would be the pride of his fleet and would, after a few upgrades, be more powerful than even the Azdgari Supercruiser. The only problem was that of time, but time would soon be on the side of the Pirates, as the Vengeance was armed with over 10 phase turrets, multiple SAD and Pursuit Missile launchers, a fighter bay, an arada bay, and multiple Thoron Beam Turrets. The colossus of a vessel would be the most powerful thing in the New Galaxy, and would bring forth a new age of Pirate rule...

--------------

The two battlecruisers in Cerberus were bewhildered (sp?) at what to do now that the ITA had openly rebelled against the IAC and IGNA. They weren't sure who to side with, who to protect, or where to go! The question now was whether or not the Federation would side with or against the ITA. Either way, it would be a risky decision in this matter of Igadzra politics.

Soon the general idea was made; they would fire on any ITA vessels that approached them.

To help protect the IGNA, the battlecruiser Repulse was moved to protect Saopollo, but the Prince of Wales would stay in Cerberus. They were to fight any attacking force until it became obvious that they were going to win. The Federation didn't want to loose any big cruisers in an Igadzran civil war.

Nova looked at Nahar for a moment, then at the data pad in Nova's hand.

"What if..." he paused, "What if the Ediens follow them into the nebula?"

"I doubt it sir. But if they do, I do not think they will stand much of a chance against such a large force."

"How many ships do the UPL have in DSN-2791?"

"About 400 Sir. They wouldn't stand a chance, except...."

"Except What?"

"Except for a cloaked battlestation, sir. The UPL have a cloaked and well armed battlestation in DSN-2791."

"How the heck are we supposed to defeat that!?"

"I'm way ahead of you sir."

Narah got up and walked over to a computer screen. He punched a few buttons and information on a research project popped up.

"This, is the 10X-500. A cloaking inhibitor designed to distrupt the cloaking field of a ship, effectively uncloaking it for as long as the device is activated. It can be equiped on Cruisers and Dreadnoughts. We can equip them on all our attack forces cruisers when we attack the UPL so if one is destroyed the field is still active. They would have to destroy all of our cruisers to disable the field."

Nova looked at him, and then and the screen. Then he spoke,

"When can it be done?"

650 IGNA vessels were in the armada now, and slowly, they were beginning to mass at Cerberus. After a purging of all IGNA warships to ensure that no-one loyal to the ITA was aboard, plans were beginning to be made. However, there were many events that had to take place first.

Evaniol stepped out onto the Executioner , the Igadzra Republic vessel, quickly demanding to see SilverDragon. Within two minutes, he found the IXD commander.

"SilverDragon! We have problems," Evaniol shouted across the chamber.

SilverDragon leapt up to his feet, and ran across. "What's happened?" His face looked serious. Evaniol didn't really have to speak.

"Heraphar," he said at first. After a moment, he continued, breathless. "He's taken Titan, Kedan, Maktee, Coya, Oloni and Bellaraphon. It seems he's assembling a fleet."

SilverDragon swore. "Get back to the Citadel, this minute. Get in your Igazra and go!"

"What about you?" Evaniol asked.

"IXD aren't doing anything right now. I'll head over to Voina, get the new Igazra, and maybe see if we can arrange some help."

Evaniol nodded sharply, and then disappeared to his ship.

(From IXD Commander SilverDragon)
(To the Igadzra Republic)

We are suffering some problems. The ITA faction has betrayed us. I must leave you now on another operation.

Little did Evaniol know that SilverDragon intended to do more than just make sure the Ethereal was brought back...

- - -

Another 40 ITA Stargliders had been produced, and the ITA were sending repeat messages to Lars requesting backup before the IGNA assualted.

- - -

The IGNA Armada had been boosted to 650 ships in strength, with the Igazrada work cleared. The Templar would remain in Cerberus, while the Nightmare would patrol Saopallo.

Meanwhile, the deflector power cell was nearing completion. Soon, all IGNA vessels would have a major advantage.

The lieutenant smiled. "Yes sir!" he said and rushed off.

Minutes later, three large, mysterious Igadzra Republic vessels moved off from the Igadzra system...

Their destination; only the republic knew...

A Miranu engineer sheepishly waited while a guard told Helena about his request. The guard came out again, nodded, and the engineer named Araj walked in.

Helena looked at him then motioned to a chair. As he sat down, she spoke. "So, Mr. Araj, you wanted to show me your plans for a new large dreadnaught for the Miranu?"

As Araj pulled out a holoprojector he shrugged. "Not really a dreadnaught..." He pressed a button, and a holo-image of his design idea appeared. "It's more like a combination of a command ship, supercruiser, colony ship, and mobile station. I call it the Base Ship*. It's heavily armed for defense, though probably still not enough to stand up to other large supercruisers like the Azdgari Supercruiser, and an Igazrada could sure beat it up a lot. It would be good for colonizing other systems, because it can hold quite a lot of people. It can go into hostile areas because of its armament if necissary, and can be used as a command ship or meeting place. It could also help with the Federations technology called 'The Network'."

As Araj explained how The Network worked, he noted that this command ship, or ships, could be used to help broadcast the network signal and thus make it possible for everyone to join the network to start a meeting or something. It could also be used for peaceful nagotiations between warring governments, seeing that meetings on planets or stations could be dangerous for one or more of the attendents.

Araj waited nervously while Helena considered his request...

"Thank you, thank you. Now you're all under arrest!"

Psack entered in the control room of the Savior. The last he had come in it was during the battle agains the Demon. Now he was serein: even if the project did not work, the Solidarity would still have its planet and will survive. The controle room was vast: holoscreens were depicting in IR and in normal wavelenght the S.S.S. Savior in three dimensions. He sent a message to the Horoth Union, they had not answered to the last one:

@ @ @ @ Message to Horoth Union (UHe) @ @ @ @

We are pleased to announce you that the worm-hole generator that equips the S.S.S. Savior is almost completed and will be ready to do its first trip in 1 post. From DSN-1003, the Savior will travel to its final destination in Luk'Nath in Horoth space. We will have the occasion to meet for the first time and to discus about our future jumps towards the Horosk.

Nelson Psack,
at the head of the Sladerei Solidarity.

@ @ @ @ End @ @ @ @

Psack continued his tour in the empty control room, everything was in place to accomodate all those who will have to make the WHG work properly. The silence was disturbed by the arrival of the man that had to place more chairs to the more numerous stations. Psack asked:
- Mister, do you think that the Solidarity is ready to undertake another journey across the skies?
- Mister Psack, the Sladerei in me has always been ready to go back to its roots. My job is to make your job easier, I bring chairs, tables, stations to all of you that hold our past. I am staying here because I know that where I am standing is solid rock.
- Thanks.
- No problem, mister.

Psack left the room in direction of the docks where he would find the S.S.A. headquarters abort the Savior. There he would meet the Admiral about what they would happen

Everything was ready for the great departure: last moment checklists, the upgraded fighters were now doing their last flight before the departure inside the Savior, defense mecanism had been checked in order to be suer that they will not be affected by the perturbations of the flight.

Grenits was full of life when great thing were to happen: the project had not been kept secret for the population, they knew that men were working on it but not if it was ready. The departure of the Savior meant that they had done a great job.

"The Miranu will build this ship. As you said, it's agood idea, especially in an emergency. Alright, we should get on this right away. And you are in charge of this project."

Helena watched as the engineer left and then sighed. This ship would take very long, and they would have to build a whole new shipyard for it. Oh well, it would probably be worth it.

The Federation fleet had been assembled, and now was the time to strike.

Around 100,000 ships in Mark departed for the Gadzair system. Now it was their turn to wreak havoc on the Ediens which had devastated them so much.

The massive fleet jumped into Gadzair and was confronted by an enemy fleet of about 50,000 ships. This was no match for the Federation, and it quickly succumbed to a hail of firepower. The Ediens charged back, however, and soon the battlefield was full of chaos.

The Edien commanded requested reinforcements, but was shocked when he heard that all other surrounding systems were being heavily raided and couldn't spare any ships for a while. The Ediens in Gadzair would have to fight, alone.

The two sides continued to fight, the Federation flanking the Ediens and then coming in at all sides. Ganging up on ships and destroying them one by one, the Ediens took heavy casualties early on...

Carnotaur led Rima aboard the Red October in orbit. They had arrived via a shuttle*, and Carnotaur led Rima to special dining area, which was reserved for special guests and the officers aboard his ship. The chef already had their food ready; cheese ravioli (sp?), clam chowder, and Ra'Neth Fish**, along with red wine specially imported from Earth.

As the two sat down, Rima marvelling at the found, Carnotaur smiled. "As a former mercenary and adventurer, I've made a lot of good friends around the galaxy, and a lot of good contacts in the right places." And with a quick glance out the large window at the massive sphere of Mira, the two began their dinner...

But in the New Galaxy, the forces of darkness were gathering.

Lars Magna had assembled his armies and had now sent Drake out to lead the fleet in an attack on the IGNA. Approximately 700 vessels had been assembled. Now they would strike. Their target; Draco.

The Pirate fleet sped off for IGNA space. But when they came Bargu, they activated a special sensor device, and entered hyperspace...

...And then came out in the NSI-901 system. They had used a special hyperlink to get around the Horoth base.

Entering Gatangu, the Pirates opened fire on the startled Kayans, blasting apart several of their ships and then hyperspacing out. Then they continued on for Draco...

-------------

Hyperspacing into Appnyl, the Pirates launched a series of space mines at the Citadel. As the mines exploded, the 400 ships hyperspaced out towards Draco while 300 ships remained at the very very far edge of the system, out of the weapons range of the Citadel. There they remained till the designated time, and then they attacked.

As 400 Pirate ships hyperspaced into Draco and began to open fire on any IGNA ship in the area, the 300 ships in Appnyl attacked the Citadel head on. The massive battlestation annihilated several Pirate ships instantly but the Pirates fought hard, their thoron beams blasting into the shields of the Citadel.

In Draco, IGNA ships from Saopollo and Cerberus arrived and engaged the Pirate fleet. The Igadzra had about 250 ships, including the Nightmare. The Pirates had 400. The battle between the two raged on...

    • All big warships like the Federation Battlecruiser have special shuttlebays carrying 2 or more shuttles each. The shuttles are for ferrying passengers to and from the ship, seeing that its rather hard to land a massive ship nearly a kilometer long in a spaceport. 🙂

** - Ra'Neth Fish is a Voinian fish found in the streams of Tientu. Considered a delicacy among the Voinians, who are excellent fishermen (but hunt fish with bows or with spears, never fishing rods 🙂 )

The fleet in Gadzair fought to regain control. The Ediens launched every last ship from thier bays, from thier starports, even from residential homes. They fought with anger and fear, but they never gave up. Then a command came over the comms of the fighters;
"Preform the Talon'meed now!"A special evasive action was in this attack formation.
-----
All fighters swerved to the right and then strait down. They all turned a sharp 180 and fired their beams and lasers. This attack sliced through the enemy fighter barage that was following. With a boost of afterburners, the fighters shot toward the warships, firing thier missiles like crazy. Then all fighters went into a spial, thier shields begining to merge with all other fighter shields. When the fast moving atoms of the spinning ships slowed, they had joined with all atoms around them. With all fighters transfering energy through shields to the fighter to the left, the group became powered( witht he exception of about 5 fighters) up again. They sprayed lasers in front of them that hit any ship near. Finially, the fighters got as close as they could to each other, and in groups of 500, they became balls of shields and energy. Each of those spheres merged again, by 100s. The spheres got larger. The fighters did this until it was just two giant spheres of energy. Even as they were being fired on, energy formt he innermost fighters supplied the outer fighters. They went onto both sides of the enemy, and slowly moved togeather, crushing the mass of ships slightly. As it came togeather more, some ships slipped out, but some stayed. The second the to spheres made contact, the energy bonds broke. fighters hurled at tromendous speeds flew from the middle of each sphere. Some hit the planet, some hit the enemy, some even hit each other. Some bravefighters recoverd and attacked again but even more hit thier own ships. The chaos spread.

"What happens when the timer reaches 0?"

As 10,000 more reinforcement ships arrived, the Ediens were hopelessly outgunned by the larger Federation fleet. As Gadzair Station overloaded and exploded in a massive fireball, it took down over 400 Edien ships with it. They simply weren't causing enough damage.

As another 15,000 Federation and Voinian ships arrived, the Ediens had only 20,000 ships left and those were being slaughtered quickly...

In NSI-8219, the Pirates had just finished raiding when a large group of 280 ships hyperspaced in. Among them, Zidagar ships from the crushed Zidagar rebels.

The Kayans and Pirates opened fire from afar with massive barrages of SAD and missile fire. Once their ammunition was almost spent, the Pirates charged into the wall of Kayan ships, consontrating only on a few points in an effort to blast through their defense line.

As defense drones opened fire the Pirates cut a lot of them down with thoron beams and heavy close-range gunfire. As the wall of Kayan ships began to crumble, the powerful defense drones were simply being overwhelmed. Fifteen or more ships would come up on them at once, blasting them with tons of weapons which simply tore them to shreds.

The Kayan line was now in complete chaos as the Pirates grouped together into 4 or so big clusters of ships and then went throughout the battlefield, blasting apart any ship that got near.

Grunadulater watched the battle on Holovid from another planet. He ordered one last thing;
"All ships fire all you've got, every last bit of it."Grunadulater would have sent in the Tro'meed but it would need to be a bit more protected. 20,000 ships was not enough. Missiles rained everywhere, not aiming at anything, but causing dammage. The planet was getting very messy with destroyed ship wrecks and missile craters. Most life had been extinguished, but the Ediens had escaped in large cargo haulers. The missiles stopped and the Edien fleet had 12,000 ships left. The Voinians and Feds had lost about 10,000 also. Then the laser fire and beam fire began, cutting everything in fron the it to bits. The battle moved near the planet which was furtherly bombarded with everything shot. Grunadulater sighed as the Holovid went dead. The enemy had taken the planet. It was then when he relized that Rigadaz was doing a good job, and that Grunadulater would do no better. Grunadulater groned.

OOC: Carnotaur, I've been gathering my forces in Cerberus. Of 725 ships, I have about 500 there...so that's 500 ships (none in Saopallo or Draco normally). That leaves about 100 in Appnyl, and 25 in Zeus.

- - -

The attack on Draco was futile. With 500 IGNA vessels storming in from Cerberus, led by the Nightmare and the Templar, the pirates found themselves overwhelmed in numbers and also slightly in technology.

An enormous barrage of SAIs, the largest ever fired in all history, in actual fact. Pirate ships were incinerated within seconds, and then the IGNA fleet was upon the pirates, weapons firing wildly.

In Appnyl, it was a different story. One hundred IGNA ships held off three hundred, and even the Citadel could not stand up against that type of firepower forever.

Meanwhile, the ITA were planning an assualt on Saopallo and Cerberus...

Word.

Now that the Federation Juggernaught was finished, they could work on more urgent needs.

The Edien Dreadnaught had cost them a lot, and though the sub-space ruptures had saved them, they were unreliable and dangerous. The Federation didn't want to have a second Mira, in which sub-space ruptures had been one of the main problems.

So, a secret project was started that would develope a weapon that would be of great use against the Dreadnaught...

Hardly anyone knew, not even Scorcher. Only Carnotaur and a select group of admirals and scientists...

In Appnyl, the Pirates did quite a lot of damage to the Igadzra ships, destroyer 50 of them and severely damaging the Citadel. However, they lost around 100-150 ships, and so were forced to back off and head towards Pirate space...

Lars, meanwhile, was furious when he heard the report from Drake. He quickly sent a message to Heraphar, accusing him for leading him into a IGNA trap and for costing Lars millions of credits worth in ships. If the Pirates were ever to help the ITA, they needed better information on the size of IGNA fleets.

However, Lars was not entirely crippled. He still had a sizable navy and had was now outfitting his ships were even more improved thoron beams, as well as new turbophase shield regenerators that he was now working to develope.

The S.S.S. Savior was ready to undertake its journey across the worm-hole. DSN-1003 had been cleared from any vessel. Now,a deep silence was emerging from the system, but in a few minutes, the elongated system would soon become on of the vastest in the Universe.

The moment of truth had come, all tests had shown that the vessel was ready to go.

In the control room, thought the air was conditionated, a smell of sweat could be feeled.

-Silence everyone, shouted a Sladerei.

The room became quieter but the noise coming from the ventiliation made the moment event more intense than when everyone was talking and doing its last technical verifications. Nelson Psack started:

-Misters, you have accomplished great actions. The worm-hole generator that our grand-fathers and grans mothers had built is now reliving. But one action is missing, everyone knows what I am talking about. This action could certainly not have been done in the beginning because... the worm-hole generator was not ready. What is this action Misters?

- Turning on the machine on mister!! responded those in the control room.

-Exactly, let us ear those emitters and generator and engines.

He pushed the red button and a light vibration could be sent. Those in the room were now back to their screens, ready to identify, correct, determine all parameters.

The artificial singularity slowly opened itself after ten minutes of intense impulsions in the direction of the flight. When the Savior finally moved towards the worm-hole, one the man in the room said:

-And take off ladies and gentlemen!

As the Savior entered the worm-hole, no one could have seen the difference: the space aroud was identical, "bringing" with them part of the system. Twenty minutes later, they decharge one tenth of the capaciator's energy to creat a new tracks to their final destination. If the DSN-1003 could have been imagined as a sphere, the Savior would have been at the head of a slim but ever increasing spick coming out from the system. One in the system would only have seen a small opening of a few hundred meters and still shrincking leading to the Savior. A vessel could not come inside, the energy fields created by the Savior even at increadible distances would have repelled him. Whith out those fields, the worm-hole would have collapsed and the system would have been "left in ruins."

Four days after the departure, the Savior gattered as much energy as possible. It had to be packed in an extremly instable manner so that in a split of a millionth of a second, it would be propulsed in front and would open the other end. At the same moment, the fields keeping the other end open would be stopped.

The action worked perfectly, the syncrnisation had been well organized and the Savior continued its journey between the two galaxies.

View from Luk'Nath:

The system had been emptied, blocades in Horath and in NSI-1315 insured the security of the entry.

For the last four days, a small openning of a few meters at first was now of a magnitude of fiften kilometers. Nothing could move towards it, masses were repulsed. As the savior exited at twice the speed of an Azdara, the worm-hole closed itself. It took only about twenty minutes to slowdown to its normal speed. As the kinetic powerplants abort the Savior were shut down, the half filled capaciators were capturing the surplus of energy in the few hundreds of kilometers around them. All sensors were disturbed, but the integrity of the ship was fine.

A message was sent to the Horoth:

@ @ @ @ Message to Horoth Union (UVe) @ @ @ @

As you probably have already discovered, the S.S.S. Savior has made it through the two galaxies. Our reports showt that no important problems have been caused by the arrival by this new mean of transportation in Luk'Nath. The Savior will stay in Luk'Nath until it all structural reports indicates that it can move towards Horath.

Until then, I await RMA abord the Savior.

Nelson Psack,
at the head of the Sladerei Solidarity.
