I got the first Igadzra mission (deliver eels to Igadzra) from Kitrack, but the time limit is always 42 days. Those systems are 14 jumps away from each other. Unless I trade in my Cresant Warship for something smaller, I can't do it. I have a 3 day jump. I've been doing searches and am intrigued by the 'double agent bug' of doing the Igadzra and Zidagar strings at the same time, but I don't see how it's possible unless you're in a fighter or shuttle. Does anyone do this in a 'real' ship? I'm using EVN to port EVO, so most plugs don't work unless it's meant for the EVN engine. Is there a place to find EVO4EVN specific plugs?
Edit: I have a backup of my pilot file and have been playing around with different tactics. I sold my Cresant Warship and bought a Cresant Fighter. Not only does it also have a 3 day jump, but there isn't enough cargo space to accept the mission. I must be missing something.

That probably a bug. When I run into problems like this I usually open the plugin and alter it a little bit to give me enough time. I have to admit, the first time I played the Frozen heart I deleated all the astiroid storms.

Well, I don't have the option of changing the time limit on the game, and this isn't being affected by a plug. My plugs are:
CFN Interface.rez CFN Planets.rez CFN Shipyard & Outfitter Pics.rez CFN Turrets is Turrets.rez disappearing outfs fix.rez evo4evnfix1_0.rez
and I tried taking these plugs out before trying the mission, there was no change.
:rubs forehead: 3x14=42. Keep in mind the one day on the planet, and you'll see what I mean... :mutters Shayborg need to puts in the rest of the missions:

Well, there is definately a bug. I started a new pilot, just to make sure I hadn't imagined it, and with my plugs still in, the shuttle had a 1 day jump. I went back to my Pre-impossible-mission pilot, bought a shuttle and had a 3 day jump. I can understand if this is unique to EVN for windows, but I can't believe no one has noticed this before or made a plug to fix it.
Where did you get the disappearing outfs fix.rez? I haven't seen that plug-in before and would like to see what it does. I've never encountered this problem with EVO for EVN on Windows.

Are you sure you don't have some escorts? You jump as fast as the fastest ship in your fleet. This is new to the Nova engine, so oldies may be confused.

There are things money can't buy or that are free, for everything else, there's indeed Mastercard.
Rather, you jump as fast as the slowest ship in your fleet.
D'oh! Yes, obviously. Thanks for pointing this out.
Oh yeah, that makes sense. Otherwise you would have to wait a day for your escort to arive. It is much more relistic that way, a large ship can progect is warp field around a smaller one. But a small fighter doesn't have the energy to progect its warp field around a freighter five times as large as it. So it makes sense, I can see that being annoying though.
Bah, real evo's don't need escorts anyways...

I have Turncoats as escorts. I can see how this could be a factor. I'll see if getting rid of them makes a difference and check back to let you know. I didn't think of this because I've never used escorts in Nova.
The dissappearing outfits plug is here: (url="http://"http://home.comcast.net/~drtrowel/")http://home.comcast.net/~drtrowel/(/url) It's link is called 'outfs fix for EVO for N.sit'
Whoops, I do know that plug, I just have it filed under the folder name. I'm betting the escorts are your problem.
Woohoo! It's not a bug but the way the game works. It was the escorts. Thanks everyone.
You're welcome :).
