Where do you start the string? When in doubt where should I usually go to continue the string? What do I get in outfitters? What ships do I get?
At Mira. You get a Diplomatic Relations mission. As most missions revolve around Nebula Exploration, you find most missions in that F-something (3265?) in Proxima Nebula. Otherwise, its split between Blaga and Station Pybin. For what to get on outfitters, it depends on your opinion. But I always get the ECM because it offers jamming with no mass, a extra Phase Turret for my Crescent Warship/ Lazira, and SADs. Pursuit Missiles can be useful too. Get a Crescent Warship for power, and a Lazira for a mix between speed and power. Some people like Aradas too for expandablity and speed. Crescent Fighters are useless though. Though they are better than most fighters, it still takes forever to destroy things with it. The only really good fighter is the Azdara.

F-3265 (or whatever it was) has nothing to do with F-25. F-25 is in Ji Nebula; F-3265 is in Proxima Nebula. Most of the mission string is in F-3265; you only ever get on F-25 in the last mission.

Perhaps I phrsed part of my question poorly, what new gear do you get for doing the Miranu string?
