This string is for all those who have ideas for small changes before Bomb releases the F-25 v2.01 plug...
Mine are:
1. Please, no fighter bays that you can't sell... 2. If there's any way you could shorten the length of the hyperspace jump movie, it would be awesome. I love how large the galaxy is, but I hate having to sit doing nothing for 2 minutes while I hold down the "J" button. 3. Any chance to buy more than 2 dual turrets?

Querin Fighter bays were sellable, but removed because it wouldnt make sense to buy something you couldnt have fighters for. Imagine: you buy a bay when you still have a Crescent Warship, not a Querin Battleship! Besides, the bay is so heavy players could cheat by selling one of their bays. 1 bay sold for 100 tons. Voila! You just doubled your free space! Probably, if the mass of the bays were cut in half... I guess Bomb just follows the logic of EVs: if the bay is not buyable for any ship, then its meant to be on a specific ship, and therefore not sellable. As for the hyperspace movie, download Lightning Jump. It worked for EV, it works for EVO too. I guess not. While having more would be fun, two of them are already extremely powerful. A example of this is that a Crescent Warhip beat 3 Kytaan Fighters and 3 Kytaan Gunboats, when it engaged one of the time. If a medium ship from a weaker galaxy can fight a swarm of some of the best fighters F-25 has, then...

I'm just saying that there should be a way to spend all that money you make... F25 raised the ceiling on ships (I'm in love with my Maurader, but the fact I can't sell the Imperial Fighter bay is a bit of a piss off), and I'm just thinking that there should be some higher realm you could go to when you have an extra 40 M credits
Also: Bomb reccommended that I not use Lightning Jump with F-25, so I assume an edit internal to the plug would remove any chance of conflict.
Actually, Lighting Jump doesn't interfere really. It doesn't give any new outfits or ships or missions. I think it is allowable.

1. Nope. This is something I feel strongly about- realistically, ~no~ fighter bays should be sellable- it seems to me that a hangar bay would be an intrinsically complex and unremovable part of a vessel.
2. Lightning Jump should work for this- I've checked and it is compatible with F-25.
3. No. They're already too damn powerful as is.

Not exactly- bays needn't be ship-specific, but in constructing a vessel a hangar would be an extremely difficult item to manage- it would calculate heavily into the overall design and mass of a vessel- to be able to extract it at will would take a god-awful amount of work and would more than likely de-structurise the hull of a vessel. That, and getting rid of it wouldn't give added space for turrets- it would give the ship a gaping hole in the side.
So basically, a ship's design would no doubt revolve around a ship bay- removing it simply isn't realistic on medium class warships that have no room to spare.
Maybe I'm being too much of a realist, but thats the logic I use..
