and i apologize for posting this here, the Nova board does not work for me.
I recently downloaded a map from the Nova add on sections. however when i un-zipped it it gave me the following file extension that isnt recognized by anything. ""evnovamap.jpg.sea""
i need this map for an independant project of mine. here is a copy of the description from the add on section...

Well, I downloaded the file. What I did was I chose "Save file as..." in the window that pops up that tells me it doesn't know what to do with it. Just save it somewhere where you'll be able to find it. Since it's a PDF file, use Acrobat Reader to open it up. At least, that process worked for me. It's entirely possible that it won't work for you, but I figure that if it worked on my machine, you've got a shot at it working for you.
And as I recall, .sea means that it should be dealt with by Stuffit Expander.
Anyway, if this doesn't work for you, I'll send the file to you now, to that email address you specified. Good luck, both with getting this to work and with your project.

I'm pretty sure stuffit expander can open .sea files. But I can understand you having trouble with them, as they are intended to be opened bythemselves. sea stands for self extracting archive, and so it's a macintosh (classic) program, so it's a pain for both of us, just more so for you
