To make a long story short, I bought an Azdara and put dospoct armor on it. I have the Azdgari experimental shield generator as well. Now I have 7 tons of weapon space left, and I want to put on either a shield enhancer or shield generator. The enhancer increases my shield amount, and the generator makes the shields I already have regenerate faster. I don't have room for both, both of them each weigh 5 tons. Also, is there anything I can do with the other two tons?

The shield generator. Faster recharge is better than bulk.
As for the other two tons, werrrrlll.... I don't think there's anything you can actually get for two tons. I could have sworn that the generator itself was two tons... but I must be wrong.

Ya, that's what I thought too, but I heard somewhere that when you increase you shield capacity, it still takes the same amount of time to regenerate, therefore also increasing your regeneration speed. I'm not sure if that's true though.
I think that with the experimental generator your Azdara already has the best possible shield regeneration (1), therefore negating the need for another. I'd jump for the enhancer.
Jubee might come along to make this all quite clear, but I think that's how it should work. He'd be able to tell you about the shield regeneration specs.

Get the shield generator. Pistgavin, you're thinking of EVC's shield booster - that weighs two tons.

Also, Solel, there's no upper limit on shield regeneration until you recover faster than you can take damage. I don't think even the experimental generator does that.

Thanks, noticed myself too. It doesnt, but Deuterium Armor from Tryakk in F-25 does. It adds 750 units of armor (thats the heaviest extra armor I ever seen coming from a outfit! :eek: :eek but weighs no more than Dospect Armor. Only drawback is you have to get to the edge of F-25 galaxy, because the Tryakk like isolation. Yes, you expected the game, not a plug-in. But this is the only plug-in I know of that adds so much armor without being a cheat.
Shield Enhancer if you like Monty Pythoning. I personally hate that. Shield Generator if you're going to be under heavy fire. If you are being pounded by whatever weapon your foe is using, it seems silly have a better shield percentage than to not have it to recharge faster. When close contact is your tactic, your new shield enhancer will go and never come back until you are not being hit. The Shield Generator will keep your existing shields going if you are not a coward.
