what do you people think the best ship you can get your hands on is? im talking no mods. personally i love that little green fighter if you only want to have fun zooming around and shooting small targets.

No problem, it might be locked soon... I have EVO and EVN but I usually just play EV I just like it more.

Personally, I think the best ship in the game is probably the UE Cruiser.. The Igazra's one tough mofo, as is the Voinian Cruiser, but in terms of overall firepower and strength, the UE Cruiser's the way to go. For some reason, the Turncoat was always a fun ship to fly as well.. Probably has something to do with those goofy Kraits it carries.

Why is the Turncoat fun to fly? Becuase the Kraits are so weak its amusing to see them die? The statistics make it a HORRIBLE mini-warship.

Azdara is my personal favorite because speed is my ultimate weapon. Tack on some dospect armor and extra shield generators then you're all set.
The Igazra is my favorite warship. It can easily shred anything the crescent has to offer with its nasty firepower and excellent protection. Good speed for its size too.

Yeah. I noticed a Azdara with Dospect Armor, one Shield Generator and Swiwel Phase replaced with Blaze, it can destroy a Voinian Frigate by just standing in its front; no strafing reguired. Its shields go down quick enough, but its armor regenates so fast it can newer die. Its armor goes down a few percent, but instanly renegerates.
And yes, the Igazra rocks. It has 500 shields, the highest in game. It has 5 turrets, the only in the game. As a matter of fact, 5 Phase Turrets are so powerful they destroy Crescent Fighters before they can attack. 30 weapons are a ridiculous number as standard, and they are the most powerful weapon in the game after Space Mines, which are dangerous to yourself. 3 SAE launhers ensure fast launching speed. And yes, its faster than any of the heavy capital ships (both Cruisers).
Best ships in the game: The ones you get after you complete the various strings. This would be the Zidara, Azdara, Igazra, UE Cruiser, Voinian Cruiser.
There are of course those who will argue for the UE Destroyer or the Crescent Warship. Personally I just can't see the Destroyer option since there are various shield and armour enhancement upgrades out there which just leave it in the dust in terms of capabilities. The Crescent Warship I can't understand as well unless you have a fondness for it's fighters, in which case get a UE Cruiser, get the Big Three of upgrades for turning, top speed, and acceleration, and go for that instead.
My personal favorite is the Igazra however.

Unless you have played the Voinian string and have gotten a Voinian Cruiser. Otherwise, it is the king of the hill. Heres a example what it can do with 3 extra turrets, all speed upgrades, and both armors: Do the first Zigadar mission without moving from the planet, with only 14% armor damage.

Indeed. It is still king of the hill in the crescent , though. If we're talking the whole galaxy, then the Voinian Cruiser will certainly shred the Igazra. Crescent firepower is little match for thick armor.

my Favorite ship is the UE Crusier and the Zidgar the zidgar looks nice and hot like if its coming in from orbit! Zidgar is such a HOT SHIP!!! but the Crusier is better for battle then the Zidgar is!

The best ship in EVO that you can get youre hands on... Without question that would be the Voinian Dreadnought. With the most overall protection, firepower, and veristility, It is by far the best. Id like to see one of those fancy Azdaras stand to 8 Phase turrets, a trio of rockets, and 10 Voinian intercepters unloading coming at it all at once.
For those you saying you cant get the dreadnought: You are mistaken. It IS possible to capture. Simply meet it durring that mission taking you to Isled, abort mission, disable, board, attempt capture. Yes, it has an insane ammount of crew and will take countless tries, but it IS possible (ive done it).
Anyone disagree?
