The honorable representatives of United Earth are hereby cleared to land at Docking Bay 74. You will be met there by a functionary, who will take you to the Miranu High Council in the capital city. Once there, contact us once more and we can arrange the details of the treaty. May your efforts be ever profitable and productive.

"Your proposal is acceptable, Commander Myrx," stated High Councilor Somm. Turning towards his aides, the high councilor barked, "Prepare my courier."
The four quit the conference room and headed for the hangers. As they walked through the spacious halls of the Zidagar military installation, Lelos Somm turned to face Commander Myrx.
"Of your research efforts, I will now speak freely. An enhanced phased beam weapon would no doubt boost your war effort tremendously. However, you will have to elaborate on the details regarding this bomb you speak of, if we are to help you mass produce it."
Myrx smiled. "Let us speak more of this on Mira."
Soon, the Miranu Courier Negotiator fired its ion engine array and, escorted by Myrx's Zidagar task force, jumped into hyperspace on a course to Mira.

OOC: Vice Admiral Ipvicus expressed an interest in playing the Azdgari in this story to me by IM. As I'd thought of a government infinitely more enjoyable to play, if it is allowed, I happily let him take my position. The government I'm going to commandeer is one that is not strictly mentioned in the game (i.e. it's not a gövt), and thus its actual name was one I chose. It is the South Tip Conclave of Akrayhek, which is normally simply called "the Kayans" in webstories that involve them. I am not sure whether Admiral will accept this, but I'm in a writing mood, so I'll write some stuff anyway. If it's all unacceptable, it can be erased at a later point... it likely won't effect any other players until Admiral returns. I made a guess at what standing forces I might have, which is numerically similar to the Zachit, and consists of Crescent fighters and Aradas.
South Tip Conclave of Akrayhek Rise of the New Power
Vardamaught, the capital of the planet Kayia for over four hundred years, literally buzzed with the life and energy of a space age, socially advanced civilisation. The introduction of Strandless colonists to the planet one hundred and thirty six years ago had made a great change in the Kayan society. Then in the beginnings of their industrial age, the Kayans had been a constantly warring species, with a more complicated series of alliances, vendettas, blood feuds and rivalries than seen almost anywhere in the known galaxy. When the Strandless arrived, they had at their hands the power to eliminate the Kayans completely; to purge their seemingly purposeless lifeform from the planet. Many Kayans still knew this, even now, and knew that the Strandless leader, Rei-Amun, had taken a great risk in his original communication with the Kayan species, and later co-operation which made the Kayans what they now are.
While originally Vardamaught had been a fortress city with a disgustingly high crime and corruption rate, now the city, populated by Kayans and Strandless, was a thriving industrial city. Its walls had been torn down, yet its defences now were more powerful (if more subtle.) Crime in the city was virtually non-existent, with children of all ages safe in the streets at any time. There was not a single prison in Vardamaught; and the two existing rehabilation centres bore a success rate of 87.4%. In fact, there was only one high-security prison on the entire planet - the Iron Hold, located eighty seven miles from Vardamaught. Those rare individuals who escaped rehabilation were relocated to the Hold by hovercar under heavy guard, and there they spent the rest of their lives.
Overall, Vardamaught was a beautiful city. It was not a city of tall buildings that overshadowed conjested roads, like many cities belonging to the human race, light years away. The Kayans were not a prolific species - in fact, since the Strandless introduced advanced technology to the Kayan populace, the Kayan population has levelled out at three and a half billion, and is not increasing - and as such, there was never any need for the city to be centralised into a small area. Many of the buildings were two or three storeys, with several basements (a trademark of the Kayans, a reminder of their warlike times), and constructed of angles and curves, masked in white marble or glimmering chromium alloys. Unlike every other society except perhaps the Miranu one, the city was almost overwhelmed by natural colour, intensely coloured blossoms and organisms similar to trees on the planet Earth, but infinitely more beautiful. Slender towers rose from the city in a strict pattern - while the Kayans on the whole valued the beauty of nature, they also very much valued symmetry and symbolism - and rose far higher than any skyscraper would have.
From one such tower, black as onyx, that was linked to other such towers by pathways that arked through the air, slender as gossamer threads, a Strandless figure watched out of a tall window, viewing the city. From this far up, the shape that these towers created was almost visible, a shape reminiscient of a creature of flight, a predator, that could be seen from the sky. These towers were more than simply displays of the wealth and prosperity of the Kayan-Strandless society. They were Vardamaughts main defensive device. Each tower was a laser, independantly powered by an underground reactor.
The Strandless eyed the network of towers with unfeigned interest. He had often pondered, idly, the power that these towers held. The government could have established a dictatorship, giving them unsurpassed power, and with these towers already in position, no rebellion would have succeeded. That this had not come to pass was one of many happenings of which he was grateful.
While originally, the Strandless had been allpowerful outsiders, building their own cities on the planet, eventually the last barriers had been broken down. Strandless mingled with Kayans, and Kayans with Strandless, as if there were no differences. Communication had been a problem at first, but now many Kayans learnt Gadzairan, and all Strandless had attempted to learn the Kayan tongue (although many Kayan words proved difficult for the Strandless to pronounce.) Of course, Kayans and Strandless could not produce offspring, although it was possible for them to engage in intercourse, although there were several independant projects seeking to find a way to do this, due to an increasing number of Kayan-Strandless relationships.
Now, the Strandless were on equal footing with their Kayan brothers. The Strandless had not taken any position of authority over the Kayans, and as such their united governing body was governed by Kayans and Strandless in a ratio equal to their numbers on the planet - roughly twenty Kayans to every Strandless.
You do spend quite some time here, dont you, Lysaeun? a voice called from behind the Strandless in Gadzairan.
Indeed. It is difficult to believe that such beauty can exist in tandem with productivity, Lysaeun replied in the Kayan tongue, as fluently as he physically could.
A hawk-like Kayan took several steps to Lysaeuns side. Wearing all black, except for red emblem on his chest in the shape of the same predatorial flyer (a razsaegul ) that stood out in Vardamoughts skyline), he was a handsome Kayan, in his middle years. We all think that, at some time. We are fortunate to be here, and not in Bakoom, or Tibidat, where the Conclaves fighters can give little protection.
Bakoom and Tibidat have their own fleets. If only they would sort themselves out, their fight against the renegades would go that much better, Lysaeun replied, his tone bitter, yet determined.
You refer to the Conclaves offer to the Republic of Bakoom? the Kayan asked in response. He shrugged. I do not know whether they will accept... it is a great thing to ask of a government, to sacrifice its power of its people.
It should not be so, however, Nhada. The government exists to protect the people. If it can protect its people by sacrificing its power to form a greater governing body, then it should do so.
Nhada sighed, and shook his head. Lysaeun, I consider you a friend, but in many ways, you are naďve. Power is addictive, and compassion is fleeting. If you think for a moment that even our Conclave is as pure as your standards, you are a fool. He looked across the city then, taking in all of its beauty. Vardamaught is a great city, yes, but there are backwater cities and provinces on Kayia which are not so well-kept. That in itself is a failing of the Conclave. I would hope that our government is not corrupt - I would give my life on a wager that it is not - but we cannot expect perfection. You never can.
Lysaeun was silent for a moment, and then he turned to Nhada, who was observing him. Blue eyes met black. We cannot expect, perhaps, Lysaeun murmured slowly. But we can hope, he added in a whisper.
Shaking his head sadly, Nhada turned to leave. Youre a good man, Lysaeun, and there are none who I would rather have at my back in a fight, but you have a lot to learn, yet. With that, he left.
Lysaeun studied the chasm that ran down the centre of the tower for a moment, listening to the sound of the platform Nhada was on travel downwards, until it clinked heavily far below, and then turned back to study the city. Power is addictive. Power corrupts. If Bakooms government does surrender to the Conclave, and so do the governments of Tibidat, Duios, Groned... all of the South Tip colonies... will the Conclave remain as pure in intention as they do?
Power corrupts.
Varian was an aging Kayan, his face lined with what they Kayans called wisdom scars. He was the second oldest member of the Conclave, which consisted of eighty four council members (of which four were Strandless.) Kayans were typically much longer lived than their Strandless brothers - Varian himself was two hundred and six years old, and he had sat at the right hand of Dieknur, Lord of Vardamaught, when the Strandless had arrived. Indeed, Dieknur was the only member of the Conclave older than he, but while Dieknur had fallen to the senility of age, Varians mind was still sharp, and it was his age and intellect which gave him an authority of respect over the other council members. In all important ways, Varian was the most influential citizen in the Conclave, before even Mathuin, who had been voted into the position of governor of the Conclave (and had only won because Varian had stood aside.)
When the Conclave had decided to present the proposal to merge with Bakoom to the Republic of Bakoom, Varian had offerred to choose an emissary and write diplomatic instructions himself. It is no secret that every member of the Conclave has their own personal information network (save the Strandless) to ensure that none of the other members of the Conclave attempt anything that would be classified as corrupt. The emissary Varian had selected was a Kayan he had known for over a hundred years, who he trusted implicitly.
Two hours ago, Varian had received a communication from the Chedok , an Arada in Bakooms militia. The vessel carried the answer the Conclave had been waiting for - whether or not the Republic would accept the proposal. Normally, a hyper comm. network would have been used, but the disturbance generated by the Proxima nebula made it impossible for a long-range hyper communication to reach Akrayhek (or DSN-4611 and DSN-5651.)
According to the Bakamese diplomat on the Chedok , which by now would be setting down on the planet, the Republic had accepted the proposal, on several terms. The Strandless population of Bakoom exceeded six billion, an impressively high figure for the Strandless, and they demanded that they receive proportionate representation within the Conclave. Such a demand had not been unexpected, and Varian already knew that it would be accepted - despite this, the system of democracy in the Conclave meant that the Bakoom Strandless would not have more power than the original members for decades, and that had satisfied Mathuin and some of the more power-addicted members of the Conclave, not that there were many.
Varian was busy running through a record of the specific agreements that the meeting with Bakooms parliament had resulted in, in his own chambers, when a blip informed him of someone at the door. Come in, Varian replied, shutting the datapad he had been reading.
He was somewhat surprised when Taikaenor, one of the four Strandless in the Conclave, walked in as the door disappeared in a clink of metal. Taikaenor had a tendency to keep to himself that was well known. He rarely made any comments at the Conclaves meetings, and had taken up the role of president of the fleet upon Chaudaks resignation in a rather quiet manner. Taikaenor had since begun an operation to enhance the Conclaves fleet which Varian had long believed was greatly underestimed.
Good evening, Taikaenor, Varian greeted him warmly. He was almost surprised to realise that he felt it; most of the members of the Conclave, while not corrupt, were still typical politicians, while Taikaenor was rather refreshing.
Evening, Taikaenor replied with a nod of the head rather deeper than was Kayan custom - most of the Strandless seemed overly respectful on the whole, while the Strandless often joked that Kayan respect was shockingly lax.
Do you need anything? Varian asked, standing and offering his hand on impulse. Taikaenor shook it, seeming pleased that manners had, in his mind, been satisfied.
Regarding the fleet, yes, Taikaenor replied bluntly. You have considerable influence within the Conclave, and I request your aid in convincing them to accept my next proposition.
Varian blinked, and then laughed. Straight to the point. And pretty observant, too. I see. And what proposition would that be?
Taikaenor paused for a moment, but only a moment, before responding. You know of how the last military project I suggested to the Conclave was passed - the shield mask. I know how long it usually takes the Conclave to come to a decision on matters that may effect the economy on the whole, so I believed that it would be prudent to raise the next matter before the completion of the last.
And what matter is that?
With it being almost certain that Bakoom will accept our proposal, were very soon going to have an influx of resources which would be best used to further our fleet, particularly if we except the Bakamese to accept our jurisdiction - theyll hardly be likely to do that if we can offer them no more protection. Our shipyards on South Tip Station, and at the bases Tykar and Zeneph, will not be sufficient, nor will Bakooms limited shipbuilding facilities. As such, I wish to propose the concentration of an orbital shipyard facility close to Kayia, Taikaenor explained levelly. Varian could but laugh.
Your proposals are perhaps the most crippling that any member of the Conclave had ever made. Orbital shipyards? I suppose theyd be able to produce Laziras and Crescent warships as well. And theyd also need some sort of defensive system. Anything in mind?
SAD launch batteries, and dispersal rocket launchers, four to a track turret, twenty in total.
Formidable, Varian replied, turning slightly paler in colour. Most crippling indeed. But it might very well give us the power to challenge Histori Station itself, and free the entire South Tip from this war.
Indeed, Taikaenor responded coolly. Will you aid me?
I will, Taikaenor. Give me ten days, and your shipyards will be under construction.
Conclave Shipyards OOC: Since I rather leapt into this without authorisation, nothing is actually decided, as such, though I hope these will be considered reasonable.
Eight Crescent fighters constructed, four Aradas constructed. (29/11/02 - 30/11/02 construction)
Fleet Status: Fourty eight Crescent fighters, twenty eight Aradas in total. Six Crescent fighters and five Aradas on patrol in DSN-4611 and/or DSN-5651. Two Aradas in Bakoom. All other ships patrolling or on standby in Akrayhek.
Conclave R &D; Department The Conclaves research and development department has begun work on Taikaenors last proposal, a modification to the existing phasic shielding which will prevent sensors from penetrating the shield matrix, and diffuse engine trails into the shields. The result of this modification will mean that:
The shield status of vessels in the Conclave fleet will be unidentifiable (e.g. how much damage the shields have taken.) The vessels will only register as a shield matrix in the shape of the vessel underneath. No other information will be available. It will not be possible to register vessels using this type of shielding as Conclave in origin, nor will two vessels of the same shape be distinguishable. There is a tiny enhancement to the shield regeneration of Conclave vessels at speed due to the diffusion of engine trails. Emphasis on tiny; it has little to no practical use.
The Chronicles of Beeblebrox
Beeblebrox's ship makes a quick entry through the thick atmosphere and reaches Docking Bay 74. Two UE guards came out and surveyed the area, scanning for any threats, or enemies of Earth. After the area is announced to be clear, Beeblebrox steps out of the ship. He is in full military uniform, medals and all. A functionary comes up and shakes Beeblebrox's hand. He starts talking in a strange language, until Beeblebrox turns on his bionic translator. "Hello, I am here to take you to the Miranu High Council." the functionary said, in an accent Beeblebrox had never heard before. The exit doors from the Docking Station slide open, and the party walks out into the open. Beeblebrox marvels at the incredible architecture of the Miranu people. Finally, after much walking, they reach the headquarters of the Miranu High Council. Beeblebrox press the buzzer in the hall.
I, Zaphod Beeblebrox ofthe United Earth, is ready to enter your Council, and discuss trade agreements.

Tibidat SRL News Service Today celebrations marked the 1 Year Anniversary of the formation of the SRL, and marking the occasion, a pact of unification with the people of Hindros. Premier Rekiu promised that the renagade threat would be dealt with, and that the SRLs military forces where building up s quickly as they could. In a surprise announcement, construction of a station with an orbital shipyard is to begin soon, protecting the homeland of the SLR, and boosting its construction abilities.
----
Internal Development Document While the SLR has Pursuit Missile technology available, it does not have the launcher blueprints, making it relatively useless to the Leagues Navy. The Leagues R&D; departments have come up with a novel solution to this problem however, and it is not an attempt to duplicate the existing launcher technology. Instead a cell type design has been suggested. Current projections show something around 15 tons in size, and carrying 10 Pursuit Missiles. While unable to reload during battle, the design would allow a ship to fire all 10 missiles at the same time, even at multiple targets. Full reserach of this technology will take a while however, and implementing it into the Navy will take time.

"As all of you know I have always hated Zurg-ever since he grew up and found favor among the top captians and quickly gained powerful ranks while I had worked thirty hard years trying to become Commander and Chief. He took what was rightfully mine. I should have suceeded my father but he favored his own son less than that good-for-nothing Zurg. I have waited, hiding my anger from him, waiting for the right time to exact my revenge. Now the time has come! He made the mistake of leaving me alone as leader, upon his return he will die!" His loyal bodygaurd cheered. "When he returns, ambush him once he leaves his ship. Once he is dead and his ship destroyed you will have a share in his riches and will all become captains and I will have my rightful office!" South Tip Conclave
It had been three days since Varian had received the communication that Bakoom was prepared to merge with the Conclave, and already the alliance had begun to firm. Fighters docked at South Tip Station, Zeneph shipyards (which lies on the outskirts of Vardamaught) and Tykar shipyards previously were called into action, and relocated to Bakoom, along with a small number of Aradas. Meanwhile, patrols in the DSN-5651 system were relocated to DSN-4611, and more ships headed there from Akrayhek. A small group of ships were also sent to DSN-4496 on patrol as advanced warning of any attack on Bakoom.
Meanwhile, the arrangement was solidified between the Conclave and Bakoom's parliament. The Conclave, which previously was comprised of eight four council members, was to be expanded to include sixty eight of the most influential leaders in the Republic of Bakoom. At a later date, more individuals were to be brought into the Conclave to establish a fair ratio based upon population.
The Conclave also sent a communication to the 'Strandless Redemption League' immediately after receiving news of its unification with Hindros.
(- Source: Halls of the Conclave, Alpha Nexus, Vardamaught, Kayia; South Tip Conclave -) (- Recipient(s): SRL House of Electives, Tibidat; Strandless Redemption League -) (- Priority: 3 -)
Leaders of the SRL,
The South Tip Conclave, based upon the planets of Kayia and Bakoom, wishes to convene with the Strandless Redemption League at a convenient time, primarily regarding the renegade forces based on Histori Station in the Mavs system, and the establishment of an alliance between our two governments, or a unification. It would be reasonable to assume that, considering the recent combining of Tibidatan and Hindran parliaments, the Strandless Redemption League has recognised that the South Tip either falls to the renegade hordes one by one, or bands together, and pacifies them for the good of the people.
The Conclave is exploring the possibility of an alliance or unification with the Obutes Federal Directorate, although the Directorate appears to be uncooperative. Currently, we have covert agents inspecting the Directorate's policies, upon rumours of injust acts supported by the government of Obutes.
Please respond as soon as conveniently possible.

Practice spears clashed between the two duelling Kayans, and before the first sound could die out, two more clashes followed, ringing in the air for a moment, before the clatter renewed, redoubled. A slender green-eyed Kayan darted to the side, avoiding a strike that would have ended the duel, and flicked the spear to the left, aiming for the neck of the other Kayan, who was larger and older, with black eyes and black hair. The blunted spearhead was deflected skillfully, and then, in a blurred rush, the duel was over. The slender Kayan, on his knees and doubled over, exhaled heavily, and barked a laugh. "Not bad."
The other Kayan turned, laying his practice spear on the ground. "Are you hurt, Dyunar?"
"I'm fine, Mathuin," Dyunar replied, though he held a hand to his chest, where he had been hit, and his breathing remained heavy. "You need to find someone else to spar with. You know I'm not up to scratch."
Mathuin grinned knowingly. "You'll get better," he replied, helping a wincing Dyunar to his feet.
"Maybe," Dyunar muttered noncommitedly. "I need to be getting back to headquarters. If you expect me to formulate an attack plan against Histori Station, I really do need to get working on it."
"It'll be some time, I'd imagine," Mathuin replied. "Taikaenor made a proposal to the Conclave, to construct an orbital shipyard complex, and the Conclave seems to be backing him. Varian's influence, I reckon. I doubt we can make any moves until the shipyard is complete, anyway, and the shield mask could be useful for any offensive."
Dyunar shrugged. "The more time the better. It means that our standing fleet is more powerful, and gives me more time to work some things out."
"Any ideas yet?" Mathuin asked.
"Well, there has been a report of more renegades them, galactic north. Apparently, these renegades are of a different species. If we can get the renegades on Histori Station to pay attention to them... perhaps when we have the shield mask, an assault on one of their systems will bring them to attack Histori Station... we may be able to catch the station offguard, and eliminate the defenders before they are able to react."
"It might work," Mathuin mused. "It's hardly honourable, however. Have you been able to find a chink in their armour?"
"I'm afraid not. While our sensors are able to give us a basic idea on the system's defences, it's difficult to pick out a disadvantage. I'll work on it."
"You do that, Dyunar. If Histori Station falls, this is over."
Yeah right , Dyunar mentally sighed.
Conclave Shipyards No ships have been constructed.
Fleet Status: Fourty eight Crescent fighters, twenty eight Aradas in total. Four Crescent fighters in DSN-4496 on patrol. Eighteen Crescent fighters and eight Aradas in Bakoom. Fifteen Crescent fighters and fifteen Aradas in DSN-4611. Seven Crescent fighters and five Aradas off-duty in Akrayhek (South Tip Station.)
Conclave Production Line Work on the orbital shipyard Nachaurrez (named after a great fortress in Kayan mythology) has begun, making use of new supplies of resources from Bakoom, a planet rich in valuable ores. Notes:-
As a result of the construction of Nachaurrez, the Conclave will construct one Lazira every realtime day, and an additional Crescent fighter and Arada. Nachaurrez will be defended by a number of SAD batteries. These batteries are essentially SAD launchers, with the equivalent firing rate of twenty five standard launchers. Nachaurrez' arsenal of SAD modules is in the thousands, and it mass constructs additional SAD modules. The station is also defended by twenty track turrets, on which are mounted four dispersal rocket launchers per turret, for defence at a closer range. Nachaurrez will have a fully operational shield grid, with an output equivalent to 4250su.

Mindule woke, startled. He had gone to sleep early, hoping that his headache would go away. It only got worse. A servent burst through the door. "Master, I heard you yelling. Are you alright."
"Yes. Go get me a glass of Smai."
"Yes sir." The servent walked out. Mindule groaned, and got up. He opened the viewport, and looked out. He watches as people were coming home from a day at work. There was no traffic in the airways; people just didn't seem to hold eachother up. They always worked for the greater benifit. Mindule smiled, something he hadn't done in a while.
"Here is your Smai, sir." Mindule turned and took the mug of liquid, and drank some of it. It warmed him, and made him feel better. He turned back to the window, and thought quietly.
"Something troubling you, master?" He turned to face his servent.
"No, it's just that the aliens seem so close... They press onward. Why won't they just leave us alone?" The servent shrugged, and Mindule handed the glass to him. He got in proper dressings, and went out of his chambers. He set off to the Military center to see what they had found about the west. ---------- The ships came swiftly. They flew into the atmosphere, and a transmission came in. It was not in any form of known language, but the I. Aradas got the idea. If you took the route through DSN-4611, disco, please read the post under DSN-4611. If you took the route through Bakoom, please read the post under Bakoom.
DSN-4611 As the Lazira entered the DSN-4611 system, the Conclave fleet present, of thirty vessels, quickly scanned its identification code. Not registering it as any South Tip vessel, but instead finding it of renegade origin, the fleet, under the command of lieutenant Nhada (and with Lysaeun in the fleet) opened fire upon the unsuspecting vessel. Fifteen Aradas raced into a loose sphere around the Lazira, unleashing dispersal rockets which crashed into the ships hull, alerting the vessel to the hostile situation. Crescent fighters darted in at the Lazira, dodging returning rocket and in some cases even phase fire due to their high speeds. Aradas moved in, launching off more rocket fire backed by primary weapons, and the Lazira exploded in a burst of plasma. The weapons fire continued for a few moments to ensure that any escape pods launched were eliminated. One fighter and one Arada were lost.
Bakoom The small scouting fleet in DSN-4496 had let the Lazira pass through under orders, but when the Lazira reached Bakoom, it found a surprise waiting for it. It had been registered as renegade in the DSN-4496 system, and an attack had been prepared for it. Eighteen Crescent fighters swarmed forward, two falling to the Lazira's fire quickly, but tearing its shields to sheds. Backed up by eight Aradas, the fighters quickly eliminated the Lazira. There was absolutely nothing the Lazira could do to prevent it; it wasn't a question of skill, the version was outmatched, and with two pilots (one the commander of the fleet, another simply a pilot) in the fleet bearing one of the highest ranks of starfighter combat, there was no way that the Lazira captain could have even held an advantage in skill.
The Conclave fleet eliminated all escape pods that may have launched.
OOC: Now, disco, I doubt you want this to happen, so here's a suggestion. The South Tip Station in Akrayhek is NOT a renegade base. I'll let you delete your post (typically, you can't undo a post that another player has reacted upon) and escape with your character, just this once. Be more careful with your decisions in the future.
And don't even consider thinking about your Lazira being able to take out my fleets. It's not going to happen. If you want to continue with your character dead, and play a retribution story, note that I have a strong alliance, and a lot of experience in this, and you don't have either. So, my suggestion to you is, undo your post.

Myrx entered his Zidara Eagles Wings and strapped himself into the cockpit. His task force and Lelos' courier had lifted off and prepared for the jump to lightspeed. As they gained in altitude, Myrx looked down upon the Zidagar homeworld. There was a large area that was black and silver, with traces of yellowish lights. The buildings in the main city were nearly 1000 stories high, while another area was a brownish color. That was the original colonization of the Gadzair race. It was before space technology had advanced as high as it is now. The buildings were mostly brick and cement, matching the ground. Myrx did not care for either of the sights, but the sight of gray surrounded by green and lines of blue. The military base was positioned in the middle of an unihabitted forest. It is where he had his basic training in the military, though he has never needed to perform hand to hand combat. He had only fought in his ship. Myrx entered their destination on the pad, and soon the stars became streaming lines of white, light blue, light green, and a soft pinkish red. He was now thinking of the Zachit, whom he was going to assist in the battle against the renegades. He had never met them before, although he had heard a great deal of their battle experience. From what he has heard the Zachit are outnumbered by the NTRs 50 to 1, these odds alone told him that they must be good at space combat. The other part was that they all had a combat rating of dangerous. He never had many pilots under him whose combat rating was even near excellent. Myrx was tired, and eventually dozed off. The last thing he was thinking about was if he made the right decision on who to take his command while he was gone. Nivad was just barely above twenty years old, yet he was already a Lieutenant. He was left in command by Myrx, his superior. While Nivad wasn't the greatest of pilots, nor did he really like flying, he was the highest of the recruits brought in last year. He was not of the Gadzair origin, but rather one of the many species found in Miranu space. He was slightly taller than the average Zidagar, but considerably slimmer. His skin was a deep blue, that could appear almost any dark color he would stand next to. In fact, many of his piers always thought him to be a Zidagar, with the only difference being that his eyes were silver and an oval shape. His main area of expertise was camoflouge, and espionage. He had been a spy on many an occasion. He blended in with the crowd remarkably, probably a gift his race shared. He also had better hearing than anybody else. While he was weaker physically, he could run much faster than anybody else. Thus making up for his lack of strength. This came in handy when he needed to get out of a certain location as quickly as possible. Nivad was hoping that he would not mess up on this large assignment. There was a knock at the door, and the General who had spoken to Myrx a few days ago entered the room. "Greetings, Lieutenant," the General said warmly, "I am General Neb. I heard of Myrx leaving you to act as Commander while he is away. While you may be competent enough, you lack in experience. Having been recruited last year. So, if you ever need guidance on a matter brought to your attention... Don't hesitate to ask me for assitance." With that he left the room as quickly as he entered. Nivad wondered, why would a General not just take over his command? Later his question was answered. He found out that Neb was a General of the Defense of the Zidagar Republic, and Myrx was Commander of the Attack Force of the Republic. Having nothing to do, Nivad sat in the office chair with his feet on the desk. He looked up as a fairly large task force left the atmosphere, accompanying a ship not of the Zidagar fleet.
OOC: Disco, how could you already know of the Miranu and Zidagar forming an alliance? The ships just entered hyperspace, and no hyperlink messages were sent. I suggest you also remove your knowledge of this. Not trying to be rude, just letting you know that it would be impossible to know of this.

OOC: Don't worry about it. You're new to this, you'll learn quickly.
Vice Admiral Ipvicus brooded silently as he watched the data come from the last fighter sweep come up on his data-screen. He and the rest of his battle group were on patrol in the Elridi System on watch for any Igadzra scouts. Things had been quiet lately too quiet, but that was all the more reason to be vigilant.
Something is going to happen, and it is going to be soon I can feel it.
Satisfied that his task in this system was complete, Ipvicus ordered his ships to jump out of the system. -------------------
