Mac error codes ! What to do?

I'm playing on a Basilisk II emulated PC and d/l'ed EV-Edit (for EVO), yet when I click on any of the drop-down menus, I get an error message numbered 84. Some other utilities I tried give me a -192 error code. What are these and what do I do about them?

Thanks!

For problems dealing with the meaning of a particular error code, I'd recommend checking (url="http://"http://www.appleerrorcodes.com")this site(/url), which lists just about every Mac error code concievable.

According to their list, error code -192 corresponds to "resNotFound -- Resource not found". As to how you can remedy this, I'm afraid I can't be of much assistance. Sorry.

If memory serves correctly, error codes 84 and -192 both mean "just buy a real Mac from eBay for cheap to run Macintosh software."

My advice: Use ResEdit. EV-Edit is troublesome even on a real Mac.

The difficulty is learning, but if you were able to set up Basilisk to run EV fine, I don't see why you should have too much trouble learning how to use ResEdit to make plug-ins.
