I have recently started a new Frozen Heart game and was in the war-torn Devore system (the Insurgents and the Republic are still at war) and, for some reason, the Republican forces were shooting at me.
I've noticed this since the first time I've player Martin Turner's illustrious TC. It is obvious why the Devorian Republic fires on the ships whose pilots call Strike Base Alpha home, but why me when I am either a simple, neutral merhcant or, later on, a an apolitical missionary?
Could Martin Turner offer any insights? Anyone?

Frozen Heart is a plug-in created by Martin Turner. It is one of many plug-ins that expand the universe of EVO, and in some cases, such as this one, completely change it into another universe. Patriot; I wasn't sure at first, although I eventually decided that there was probably a good reason. I even came up with a few: the only one I can remember was that sometimes, military officers can't aim very well (American soldiers shoot each other on an almost regular basis), and a little paranoia mixed with a little stupidity can easily be interpreted as xenophobia.
