I was just wondering what everybody thinks is the most powerful ship (as in, capable of doing the most damage and withstanding the most punishment) No Crescent Fighters Allowed! LOL! Mortals...
I gotta say, my Igadzra is pretty good...

I have a souped-up Igazra called the "Golden Phoenix" that I have a strong affinity to. It doesn't handle fighters very well though, even with the Miranu Defense System.

well, in a CPU vs. CPU the Voinian Dreadnought is the most powerful. i think that if the player got one it would be the most powerful without cheats. Second to the Dreadnought is the Igazra, followed by UE Cruiser etc...(im not going to list all the damn ships in order)
(all said is based on Computer to computer fights unless said otherwise)

I made a souped-up Voinian Transport that trounces Lazira's in a one-on-one brawl. Its not the most powerful ship, but I like it ;).

Cpu vs Cpu fights, I think the azdgari beats everything. Perhaps not the voinian cruiser, but besides that, it kicks everybodys ass

if you mean the Azdara your wrong. ive seen the Azdara killed by quite a number of ships. its far from the best(unless piloted by the player). *** U.E. Admiral thinks about capturing the dreadnought to make a UE Battleship.
I mean the warship. One vs. one, it can beat the Igazra and Zidara. I don't know how it'll do against the cruiser, but there's probably a fifty fifty

With a full load of fighters, though. That confuses the issue, rather.
As a single ship, with no carried fighters I think a Voinian Cruiser takes a hell of a lot of beating, especially in the Crescent. I don't like them as a player ship, though... too slow when flying from planet to planet! I always end up sending all my jump fuel through the afterburner, even if I'm only going between Thehir and Gribn or something.

True. Could be interesting to pit the Voinian cruiser against the UE cruiser, without fighters.
hmmm..... as a UE Admiral i have to say that the UE Cruiser would win. it has far more firepower and has nearly as much protection(only 100 less overall).

With the plasma siphon, the Igazra is good against fighters that come from 0, dispersal or voinian rockets can help your cause.

The most important factor would be the missiles that have a longer range than the rockets. For once, I have to agree that the UEC would won.

Without the intervention of a certain well-known mercenary captain, the UE Cruiser doesn't even exist... this is something of a limiting factor. Once it appears, though, the battles along the UE/Voinian frontier tend to end in the UE's favour.
Still, if one were a supporter of the Voinians rather than the UE, this powerful ship never arrives to wreak its havoc, and the Humans have a hard time of it.
You mount yourself up on an Igadzra with as many blaze cannons as you can fit, you got yourself a ship! It kills Azzies in one pass.
Why blaze cannons?
I vote UE cruiser for CPU, Igadzra for human, and dreadnaught for highest capability if modidied properly. P.S. Yes, Why blaze cannons? I've found them to be the worst energy weapons.

this is untrue. in the Voinian string Vorik gets attacked by a fleet of UE Cruisers. either way the UE develops them. and if your on the side of the Voinians the Dreadnought doesnt apear.

Blaze because they have an impact ratio. they hold the target Azdara longer than phase or neutron thus dealing more damage however slower.
