When ever you're in a huge battle in the game anywhere, all the ships release their fighters and every time they come straight to the player. So you're forced to deal with the irritating, pesky, fighters who start beating the crap out of you when all the other ships go have fun knocking out the carriers and such.

This is something common that I have noticed as well. However, what was your purpose in posting this to the board? I saw no clear question.

Just because we're at a themed webboard doesn't mean every single topic has to be a question. You can post game themed polls, reviews, and things you've realized about the game. I realized that in any battle against a fighter carrying ship with ships on your side, the fighters always attack you and the allied ships get to attack the carrier.
That's one of the AI standards. Divide and conquer. Very Sun Tzu-ish.

Yes, It can get very annoying when you don't have the Plasma Siphon and you take on a couple of Adzgari Warships.
P.S. What's this Karma Thing about??
------------------ HAH, who cares about a Igadzra?? I defeated 10 of them with a Cresent Warship.

Karma is a value associated with your webboard account. If a moderator sees you doing something objectionable or irritating, they may choose to reduce your karma by a point. If they see you being helpful, they may raise it.
Having high karma is nice, but carries no real advantage other than perhaps increased respect. On the other hand, if your karma gets to -10, you are karmabanned - you are unable to post on the boards until a moderator raises your karma again.
If you follow the (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/webboard/guidelines.html")WebBoard Guidelines(/url) then you should never get any negative karma.

Actually, if I qoute someone who's said this before, Becuase you have more karma doesn't mean you should issue more respect to the person. Although I liked UE General, he got +7 karma but that doesn't mean every other single person on the boards respected him more, it just made them hate him.
In other words rocky, don't bother with karma. Just do a good job around the boards, be helpful, and don't do things would get you in to trouble.
And kudos to you for not starting a new topic!
Heh, that's the trouble with the Nova Board, I find. No matter what you do, there is soooo much going on that no one will notice. Not to be selfish or stuck up, but I have done some things there that were worthy of points, but because of how busy it was, no one saw. 'Tis all right though, we can't do everything for selfish reasons. The majority of my points come from the Ares board and I have one from the EVO board.
Disrespectful Newbs are always profitable

But, along with the topic, yeah, I noticed that myself. I don't find the fighters too anoying though (unless they're Azdaras...) and I just clen 'em out quick before I go after the cap ships.

You can't really try to get Karma, it just sort of happens. I was around the boards for 2 and half years and I never got or lost Karma. Then one day I made a post, not even trying to get attention for it but just trying to make a point, and bam--next time I checked my email, one of the mods had given me a point. Didn't even see that one coming. The best way to get Karma is to not try to at all.

True, true.
Also, if you have negative karma with every twenty posts you make (I think) your karma raises a point automatically.

It's very rare to actually find someone on the webboard that has at least a negative karma. (url="http://"http://www.newgrounds.com")www.newgrounds.com(/url) also uses karmas but for a totally different system. It is based on how users vote on flash movies. One time when the issue about karma abuse came up, I tried to suggest a solution by refering this webboard to Newground's posts as a way of showing how this webboard uses karma and how it works and stuff.
(I hope this was appropiate. I feel like I'm going to get killed for this reply)
