OK guys.....I've managed to get through everything to date except the Tome.. Now, when I killed the last Cyclop, I received a key??? Well, after saving and returning to the game later, the key was gone? I went back to an older game (before he killed off the Cyclops and did it again....And, the key once again mysteriously disapeared?? When I went to the Crypt, it said I didn't have the key, "step back". When I was the swordsman, that Crypt didn't need a key and yet in this one as the Ranger it does and the key is gone?? I can't get up to High Garendall without that crypt? I had read someone else's regarding the key and they were told to go East, and cross a bridge. Well I go as far east as I can and the trees cut me off? What's the deal??

Ok, you have your causes and events screwed up here.
The cyclops key is for the treasure chests that line the bottom of that map. Without it you cant open them. You get the key when you kill the last of the ten cyclopses.
The High Garendall key can be found in the third level of the learning tree, only. That crypt is the only way to high garendall, btw. To gain access to the 3rd level, talk to Emilius once you have the milla'kara shield, and he'll send you on a quest to find a ring. The ring is in a well in the bleeding forest (South of Lake Varandeep). After you give him the ring, he'll give you access to the third level of the learning tree, where you will find the key to the crypt that leads you...whew...to High Garendall.

OK, Thanks so much... I've done everything that has been given to me, but the druid has not given me access to the third level. Will go back again. The last time I was there, he just kept saying he was running out of time..... :confuesed:
If you have already done the ring quest, try to go up to the 3rd level of the tree. You may have just missed the window when he told you that he'd open it up for you.
If you haven't done the ring quest, take the milla'kara shield that you bought at the witches finger to the druid and show it to him(just need it in your inventory and talk to him). He'll look at the shield and send you on the ring quest. Do it, return, and he'll grant you access to level 3.
