I just got back from a trip to Turkey. I took 'Sassinak' by Anne McCaffrey to read while I was travelling... it was a crap book, but never mind that. There was a character in it called Huron.
Later in the same trip, I became acquainted with a Turkish word which can roughly be translated as 'barbecue'. The word was Izgara ...The cuisine of the third strand?

Sometimes, when we least expect it, coincidence strikes!

Remind me not to use "Izgara" in Silver Horizon (have been using words like that). Probably coincidence, really, since Huron is a fairly basic word and... well, not sure about the second...

That's interesting. Maybe since a lot of EV is based from HHGTTG than maybe EVO is based from the middle east.
Nevermind.....

I always figured Huron was borrowed from the Great Lakes. Ambrosia is headquartered up in New York, right? That's near the Lakes.

I don't know that Ambrosia's geographical location is of much significance here, since I believe the person who designed most of the EV Override scenario lived in Europe.

At the time EV Override was developed, Peter Cartwright resided in Nottingham. Prior to that, he lived in Ipswich.
Ipswich also being a STR# for Shuttlecraft names.
