I don't think I really qualify, because I haven't been on these boards for a year yet, and I have avoided them for about 4 months now. But I figured I'd reply to this topic anyway. So there. 😛 And congrats on becoming a mod, thrawn. I may see you around on IRC a bit, but drop me an IM if you see me. 😄

Ah yes, I remember calling you a newbie once, you whippersnapper...I think it was in one of the earlier WoD stories...before Carno corrupted it.

Another oldbie, signing in to chew the fat.

How many times have you 'clocked' EVO? That is, created a pilot and taken him right through until there was nothing you felt was worth doing? (Three central objectives and some of the minor stuff normally ends my spacefaring career, though I did go on a domination spree once.)

I reckon five times around the game for me, plus some false starts.

Uh, a lot of times, that's for sure. Seven, eight times perhaps.

None.

Err...what?

Esponer, are you still writing for SH?

As for EVO, a few times, there are a lot of things that can be done in a summer!

I doubt my summer will be devoted to playing many games. I've been preparing to write a story...I've spent the last few busy months trying to plan how to do it.

I also doubt to play EV or EVO again: I am working 20 hours at the local swimming pool and other Ťjobinesť called in Québécois.
However, two summers ago, I did play that much, crazy me!

My summer will be about covered with book illustration projects, web sites, yard care, and school (I decided a few days ago to continue through the summer with it). I doubt I'll ever play Nova at this rate, heh.

My summer = Starcraft, FF V, Scouts, web boards, and various outdoor activities (most of which partain to 'Scouts'). That leaves very little time for Nova.

I never liked FFV, to be honest. The Job System was expandable, of course, but.. I just never really got into it. FFIII and IV were both amazing, though, FFVII was mind blowing, and...the newer ones are <cough>. Heheh...ES, you'll understand the significance of my winning a battle against one of the largest bosses in FFX with only one character - Auron - still standing, with 80 HP left when the opponent did 1000 HP damage? And no, I didn't know that his last attack would do it.

Nova...it was good for two weeks. It was very good for two weeks. It just lacks replayability (something with FFX and, I admit, FFV both hold by the fact you can customise character skills and statistics in a major way).

Very true indeed.

As for my summer, it will probably be full of starcraft, EV plug developing, and my oh-so-stimulating job at McDonalds.

Hmm, I'd better be getting to bed. I have another shift tomorrow...

In fact, did I even mention English people?

Have I ever been out of line? Not that I'm aware of. I'll try my best to be a good moderator. Newbies can be great moderators. 😉

You sound kind of like my brother when my mom told him Santa only gives gifts to the good boys. 😛
