Grunadulater was in a rage from the battles of Valenna and Esurus. These aliens were smarter than he had thought. It was now time to take some real action.

----------

Velanna
About 300,001 ships jumped in. The last ship was the Worldship. As all other ships made defensive stances around the Worldship, it gathered energy for a second and then released one of its furious attacks: The EMP Wave. All small fighters were disabled, frigates or smaller had no shields, and capitals had more than 50% shields take out. The Worldship did another wave, but the defending ships were starting to get pummeled. All ships defending the Worldship launched a volly of hyperplasma at the same time, along with the Worldship launching a ton from its gullets and sockets. This created a wall of hyperplasma. The Worldship shot back out of the system. The plasma smashed into enemy ships, eating at the armor. Any ship that didn't get destroyed by the plasma was destroyed by the plasma bringing it back into another ship. Nothing could get through the wall, not even weapons. The second the wall has dissapated, a huge barrage of Sunflash missiles were shot. Now that they could use their targeting system, the missiles smashed into the remaining ships. On the other side of the planet, the Hydraspawn were releasing plague. The after the plague cleared, Infesters would shoot seeds that would bring the inhabitance back to life, only working for the Shar' Nadda now. The Strands were fighting each other once again, though not in the same way as before. Many people on the planet went to ground-based cannons and started shooting their own ships. They destroyed their own shipyards as well. Anything to please the Shar' Nadda. Creepers were put all over the system, to protect it. This was clearly a victory for the Shar' Nadda.

Remaining fleet stats in Velanna= 210,101 ships.
(edit)I fixed it so that I lost about 90,000 ships instead of only 30,000. I was being unfair to Esponer.(/edit)

A military corps officer rushed in through the door to Kyala's office. "Prime minister," she said, out of breath, "here are the stats on our patrols in Strand League space that you requested."

"Thanks," Kyala said, taking the datapad from her hands. "You didn't run all the way here from the military complex, did you?"

She nodded, indicating that she had. "Well," Kyala replied with a friendly smile, "your dedication is admirable, but you could have just taken a skimmer. Either way, the Strand League will no doubt appreciate your punctuality."

The young cadet turned and left the room, and Kyala jotted down a quick comm message to the Strand League containing the stats he'd just recieved.

Message to the Strand League
Point of origin - Office of the Prime Minister, New Kayia, Galactica

I have heard back from the military guys, and I've learned that the military corps have assigned approximately 20,000 ships to patrol each of the four former Horosk systems of your space, plus 10,000 each to patrol Appnyl and Levym. 90,000 more of our ships have been assigned to patrol the region to the south and west of that area, your systems along the border with the Akrahd clans, through systems such as Draco, Zeus, Solphid II, and Rossoni, as well as smaller general patrols throughout the central regions of your space which is not directly on a border. This totals 190,000 of our ships patrolling in your space to help fend off the Akrahd clans. If you believe there is a danger to specific systems or to your border in general, we could probably increase these patrols somewhat or offer a defense force. Please take a look at these fleet stats and advise me on how they might be better tailored to serve our mutual defense.

Bah...I really don't think I'm going to be participating. Yes, I signed up, but I still won't be likely to post anything relevant. I prefer webstories that I know something about, and I'd just as soon not participate in a rigged webstory. That and I don't like the idea of going up against the all-powerful Strand League with a crapload of primitive capitol ships.

Thank you, and good day.

OOC: Ne Dormod; both the Plasma Battery and Anti-Matter Battery cannot hit missiles.

There are only two portals to the Milky Way; Rigel and Deneba. Of course, if Thunder worked hard enough, I guess he could bend the sub-space rift and create another portal in Galactica.

Oh, and just as a note to everybody; actual planetary defenses usually just consist of one huge turret (an enlargement of whatever you use as primary weapon) and possibly a few missile silos. Planets also have a shield grid, but that's weak. Planetary defenses are -NOT- meant to stop a fleet; just to aid the defense fleet a little.

And ESPilot; wow, that was really intellegent of you; telling me you couldn't participate after the webstory started. Now I have to find you a replacement, a thing I don't particularly enjoy, all because of your ignorance. The SL aren't all-powerful (thanks a lot Espy for your 'lightning offensive' which seems to have already freaked out someone), and the Tronoak aren't primitive.

Topira'Nan

The Asani called in reinforcements, but it was no use. They were still horribly outgunned. Taking away what loot they could from the Horosk base, the Asani Pirates hyperspaced out of the system, leaving behind the Horosk to clean up the mess, which included many Horosk vessels.

-------------------

NSI-232

The Gamaera were suffering heavy losses, but called in a reinforcement fleet of another 20,000 vessels to reinforce their position. They backed off, then just ran away until they were in the cover of some asteroid fields. There they hit the Strand League with everything they had left, but that wasn't much, and the fleet was forced to simply charge the enemy fleet head on. But meanwhile, in Draco....

Draco

While the fleet in NSI-232 distracted the Strand League, a Gamaeran fleet of 75,000 jumped into the Draco system and immediately opened fire on the enemy strand league fleet. Many battleships were present as the huge force charged forward, their guns blazing away at anything that moved.

We have been monitoring the Rarkyl border and believe that the time to make a preemptive strike is now. If we wait much longer, we may have quite a bit of trouble with punching through the already tough Rarkyl defenses which are getting stronger every day. I suggest we try and take Iors'Sila, Tirin, and Thadun, seeing as they are on the outskirts of the Demon Nebula and will probably be easy targets. We await your response.

A Federation Frigate moved over and docked with the frieghter, and several platoons of heavily armed marines began to board the vessel...

“You are just not providing enough, Captain Sojin. I mean since the Red Serpent faction took me into their embrace, I’ve just as soon found other, less expensive means of buying arms.” Rigana gave a toothy grin as he dry-washed his hands and looked at Sojin. In Sojin’s oppionion, this Zidagar was like any other member of his race in smuggling: plain stupid. He was very much like Arkath, too, but a notch dimmer. And become very brave since joining a pirate faction. “One hundred for the entire thing, Captain.”

“I’m sorry, Rigana, but I want to eat sometime in the near future. Looks like it is Kanazi after all. She is smart when it comes to purchasing me, and she knows my price for fifty tons is at least four hundred. Good day, Rigana.” Those words seemed to trigger a rustling behind crates in the warehouse and Sojin shook his head. Rigana and Arkath were very much the same in trains of thought.

As Sojin started to turn, Rigana gave a rough chuckle and said, “Well, if it is that way, then just give us your access codes and location of your ship. I am sure someone will buy it, whatever type it is.”

Sojin spun around in a high kick and followed with a punch before diving away from the falling Zidagar. As he came up, Sojin drew his pulse pistol and fired at the three goons just coming from cover. Two shots hit dead center but the other went wide as the third goon dived. He came up firing his phase riffle and Sojin was the one diving again, as the phase bolt hit the floor and scattered derbris. One thing different was that Rigana gave his men bigger weapons. Sojin came up behind a crate and fired, hitting the goon in the head.

Rigana was just getting up when the pulse pistol was put to the center of the Zidagar’s chest. The Zidagar opened his mouth and Sojin fired. What remained of Rigana fell to the warehouse floor and only a few minutes later, Sojin was walking away shaking his head.

For the third time this day, the smuggler returned to his ship. As the hatch door closed, he ran into a holographic Raven and he said, “Prepare for clearence to leave Titan at midnight, solar time.”

“Aye, captain.”

Alternate-Commander So Sau of the scouting fleet was sweating as his fleet was Ťinterceptedť buy the Strand League. It was one of the first time they meat in a long period. His orders were clear report any enemy near the Clan and fight against an intrusive or attacking one.

The two fleets were facing each other, on red alert. Sau's T.R.S.A. fleet started to study their behaviour during half an hour with multiple scans and said to Captain Thevanok

-I am So Sau, Alternate-Commander of the T.R.S.A. Scouting Fleet-12. We do not wish to arm you now. However an intrusion in Chebel would result in an immediate retaliation from the Akrahd Teh’Rak Clan. I will report to my supervisor the acceptable character of the behaviour of the Strand League in my presence.

Fifteen minutes later, the all scouting squadrons left Ollin for Cheble.

The docks for S-D-1 were now completed and waited for the men and women down on the planet to complete the plans in order to start the construction of it. The immense space building could house all workers in special compartments so that they could be al close a possible to their working stations. In addition, the void of space would not affect any of them because their workstations were independent from the specialized working docks and could be placed wherever to enhance the quality and rapidity of their job.

Akrion III

The first virtual reality studies for the Storm torpedo had been realized over the last few days. They were significantly in accordance with the needs of the T.R.S.A., which pleased them. Though its speed was actually not its main strength, the ordinance would be very manoeuvrable for all three axis. This would allow the torpedo to direct its principal warhead to any ship trying to evade the Teh’Rak weapon. If the target would to be destroyed before the Storm hits it, it would send a message back to the mother ship and Ťaskť for a new target. Without a response, it would continue on its original course and explode about where the target was. This function is only applicable is less than half of the fuel has been consumed.

Cheble

Commander Fou Poitra had been sent to Cheble with his Agl.I.Div1-2 to support the already in place scouting squadrons. They were supplied by the T.R.S.T. at a constant rate, more than needed to keep the moral of the troops. In a Ťcornerť of the system, one hundred ships were practicing tactics and keeping their reflexes. This resembled to the Strange War for some of the oldest pilots.

Two divisions had been had to the main exit point of the Clan.

-No sir, both of them are still quiet. Should we make a pre-emptive strike on the Strand League to show them that we will not accept other intrusion in the no-man’s land?

-I have better a better idea in mind, we will...

The representitives of the Kayan Senate listened intently as a team from the scientific corps gave an eloquent presentation. They were adamant about the colonization of the Centuar system, insisting that it was an ideal site for a mining operation and limited civilian populace. Though expanding had not traditionally been a Kayan pursuit, the Senate was convinced by the argument that a mining operation would provide them with valuable resources to trade with other races. A vote of the senate fell 89-80 in favor, and a task force was sent to begin work immediately, escorted by a small contingient of military corps ships.

Commander Lasin of the Military Corps responded happily as Thunder arrived back from his diplomatic visit to the Horosk, and returned bearing the plans for the Proton-Matrix Cannon/Turret. "We and the Horosk have a lot in common when it comes to military strategy, and I think we'll really be able to help each other working together," Thunder told Lasin. "I think we should work to trade Proton-Matrix cannons one for one for the turbophase cannons we currently have on our ships." The Proton-Matrix technology is a considerable improvement over our current capabilities. Lasin nodded his head in agreement, and ordered the project to begin immediately.

MODERATION: Grundy, I've looked over your Shar'Nadda techs and ships (I only skimmed before), and I have some major edits to make. First off, your bomber has a bit too much armor. Second, your EMP wave has a range-limit, and the farther out it goes, the weaker it gets. Third; having a planet move at 500 speed is insane. Make it more like 25. Fourth; the Firebird cannot have unlimited ammo. That's just -insane-.

Korellian

Commander Fri Eag and his T.R.S.A. Kor.I.Div1-2-3-4-5 now under red alert and ready to hyper jump towards NSI-4200 and then to Sheagi. Korellian would be protected during the assault by commander Ector Loiseau’s Kor.I.Div6-7 and Aso.I.Div1-2-3.

Eag’s divisions totalized more than 8000 fighters and mssile boats, 5400 Defilers, Lion Spears, Dragons and Desacrators, 1500 Necromancers and 800 Battleships. The Death Ray battle-platform stayed back. They did not stop in NSI-4200, made their last hyper jumps towards Sheagi...

occ: I do not know the Azdgari‘s naval specifications so I assume that they have fast fighters, some quick destroyers (Lazira-like), some bombers (from Golden Horizon) and carriers.

Sheagi

The Azdgari new that a Teh’Rak incursion in their territory would soon come, but not that soon. Their patrolling fleets in Sheagi reacted quickly, as any Azdgari would do, and started to fire at the Teh’Rak divisions.

Commander Fri Eag reacted without hesitation and ordered to his divisions to adopted the three-three-square formation. Each divisions spited into nine groups of equal strength and number, making a vertical square of three groups by three groups. Then the fighters stayed in tight formation to attack the slower bombers of the Azdgari Navy and other fighters tried to pursued the fast Azdara. These fighters were slowly taken down, mostly by the waves of Typhoon missiles coming from the Missile boats.

However, the Azdgari ships had been first hit by the long range light and medium plasma rail guns of the Teh’Rak cruisers and warships. Then by waves of Typhoon and Hail missiles. The Hail ordinances were fired at the squadrons of fighters and destructed a lot of them with the secondary explosion.

The enemy’s bombers started to unload their ordinance over the slow Teh’Rak warships but had to endure the fire of the anti-matter weaponry protecting these ships. Nevertheless, their actions damaged about each ships to a level ranging from barely scratched to severely weaken.

Sheagi Battle:

Akrahd Teh’Rak Clan:

-3900 damaged fighters and Missile Boats + 1300 undamaged.
-2900 damaged warships + 1500 fine.
-750 damaged Necromancers + 290 all right.
-555 damaged Battleships + 95 adequate.
Total:
-8105 damaged vessels + 3215 undamaged ships.

Azdgari:

-1/3 destroyed ships + 1/2 damaged ships + 1/6 fine vessels.

The battle continued on....

..............................................................................

Korellian

More Divisions were sent in case of a Azdgari or Strand League attack, and to support the eventual absorption of Sheagi in the Teh’Rak Clan. The T.R.S.T. were ready to move towards the new colony escorted by the T.R.S.A.. Korellian would also be defended with the help of the Teh.II.Div-1-2 and Don.I.Div-1-2. The Aso.I.Div-1-2 were ready to jump towards Sheagi to support their fellow warriors when noticed.

He had a blender on, and a spare one as well; this would basicly scramble a biosign from sensors for a little while, just perhaps long enough to get Kazani back to the ship.

“I’m not going to take any chances, Raven. Kazani needs rescuing, that and she’ll be owing me a big, big favor. Other than that, I’m no Azdgari who’ll come out blasting.”

There was a silence for a moment before Raven asked, “Oh? What do you plan on doing then? Walking through thin air.”

Sojin hit his wristlink and activated the blender before kneeling to alleyway ground and lifted a grate and pulse pistol. “Nothing so fancy. Just going in through the sewers. See you when we get back, Raven.” Cutting the link, Sojin dropped into the sewer and landed running. He had had to come in through this way more than once. He ran down those smelly sewers. After about fifteen minutes, Sojin turned a corner to find a stairwell leading up to a doorway and the smuggler nodded before stepping carefully up it and fired his blaster at it and rushing in with the weapon ready.
