Espy, you mentioned "Silver Horizon" on the old Freeport Bar thread. I thought the Edien were dead! Anyway, I should probably be asking Carnotaur this, so this goes out to him also; what is "Silver Horizon", does it exist, and if so, please tell me about it!

Do I think I'd just make up a thing like that? Silver Horizon exists, and is in late planning stages; should be coming out in a month or so. Carnotaur has put you down for "Akrahd??" on the player slots, so I assume he'll be asking you if you'd like to play Akrahd sometime. Oh, Shayon, watch out, Carnotaur wants to nab you too.
The Ediens aren't destroyed, by the way, although they currently have no players. I also switched from my lovely Strand League (SL) to Asani. As I say; it takes a great man to make a kingdom strong, but it takes the greatest man to leave that kingdom after.
As well as that, Shade if another EV:O webstory was to start half way through Silver Horizon (late July, August), might you be interested? I need to be thinking ahead. : )
(edit)The reason for that is that RoC is coming to an end soon, and the Caenarii story I had planned to be released in less than a week from now is cancelled(/edit)

what kind of webstory is it? like WoD or EVW? i find that EVW is no fun at all so if is like that i wont be asking to be in on it.

SH is the sequel to GH. There's info about GH on Carno's site. I haven't looked to see if there's info on SH yet.

To answer UE Admiral's question: If you're familiar with Red Horizon or Golden Horizon (the two prequels to Silver Horizon), it will likely be much like those. Other similar webstories that you might be familiar with would be Reign of Chaos or Flashpoint (or even the Light Behind the Shadow series if you care to look back that far ;)) All the stories I've mentioned here are on this board, and can likely all be found using the "search" feature if you'd like to look and see how they work.

well i like wod because there is no stress in need ing to post unless your being killed. but in evw its stress mania. i have enough stress in my life so i stick with wod type.

I know the feeling very, very well (it often feels like I'm the only webstory player that has problems). I'd suggest you don't get to know the players through AIM. I never get a rest from being pestered by Carnotaur, BattleDoctor, RMA, Rima, Redchigh, Espona, etc. for posting (okay, so not all of them pester). <grin>
Oh, and Ultima Trilogy > Horizon Series > WoD Series. Meh, well I might reconsider on the Horizon part
What? I've been keyed for a race without being even told the webstory was happening? Aren't the Akrahd the nasty evil conquerer types of the New Galaxy? If so, I want either a massive social revolution caused by the end of the Edien wars and the rise of a technocratic state, or another faction. Who or what are the "Asani"? Lovely name, but I still prefer Kai'asi.(™) If a new webstory was to start, it would depend on certain things, mainly what the plot was, and how many webstories I had going at the time; we're making a new RPG/webstory/thing on the WDC, there's the (url="http://"http://www.usi-rpg.com")Unified Space Intelligence(/url) RPG I'm in, the EVW, WoD, The Hypergate (although that isn't moving so fast nowadays) obviously at least one of those has to end before I can join two new webstories. But mail me with your plot idea, I'm always interested in new webstory plots. Or is it just your CaenariiStory postponed?

I'm Akrahd. Or at least, Carno asked me and I said 'sure'. My problem with this is I have no idea on the background of either Red or Golden Horizon.

Another note; Shade, well, if you don't want to be Akrahd (dang you ;)), then you can be Lavrii. Quasi-peaceful with a fairly formidable navy used for defending against Akrahd, with lots of interesting techs.

Lavrii - A race of bipedal reptile-like beings, the Lavrii appearance makes them look something like a skink, or a kind of small lizard from Earth. They have bright, reflective blue eyes, and though they stand only an average 5' 7" inches high, they can be extremely fierce and violent if cornered or caught, and can emit a very annoying high pitched shriek if grabbed. Their ships have large amounts of somewhat unusual weapons, but sadly the average Lavrii population for a planet is only 500 million, and due to the lack of good ground-weapons or ground-fighting capabilities, the Lavrii nearly went extinct trying to ward off Akrahd stormtroopers. Thus, they created the Vaesk; a race of biogeneically engineered superwarriors. Normally peaceful, the Lavrii economy is large and prosperous, and they are shrewd businessmen.
Vaesk - A race of biogenetically engineered superwarriors, the Vaesk were created by the Lavrii to be their elite ground warriors. They are a combination of Lavrii intellegence and speed, Akrahd durability and appearance, and Naeron strength. Capable of carrying over a hundred pounds of weapons at a time, the Vaesk have been known to be hit by Neutron Railgun bolts and survive. Swift and powerful, the Vaesk have huge, sharp, serrated teeth and skin that in itself is almost completely laser-proof. They recover quickly from any wound, and their blood clots amazingly fast, making sure that blood-loss is kept to a minimal. They sight and hearing is extremely keen, and some elite troopers have even been given the ability to change the color of their skin at will.
They also seem to have the ability to detect the electromagnetic signature of nearby animals, much like the Shark from Earth, which can sense the electric charge of nearby fish. The Vaesk have no difference between male and female because they have no need to reproduce naturally (they are instead cloned in large numbers by the Lavrii), require very little food, and almost no sleep (though they sleep and rest as much as they can to make sure they are fully prepared for battle). The Lavrii also specially engineer some Vaesk with extra abilities; special operations soldiers are sometimes given the ability to change skin color, assault troopers are given tougher skin, scouts are given better hearing and vision, etc.
Naeron - The Naeron are large beasts which roam the Lavrii homeworld. They are in-essence very large reptiles, much like the monitor lizard. On average they are 18 feet long, and the Lavrii often hunt these dangerous and powerful beasts for sport. The Lavrii also used some of their genetic code for use in their Vaesk Superwarriors.
