OOC: How the f do the Acarra know about the commands? And why the f do you get to decide how MY stations work? Your magical solutions that keep anything from slightly hindering the Acarra's progress are really pissing me off, Mr. Arbitrary.
Espilot watched the Acarra close in on the three Zidaras, drawing every closer to the station. They were within range of the stations' weapons. The Zidaras were drawing them ever closer, but were nearly finished. The Zidaras were almost right up against the station, and the Acarra ships were still within psi weapon range. Espilot watched the countdown. Twenty seconds...nineteen...eighteen...the Zidaras were quickly losing....fifteen...fourteen...thirteen....twelve...the Zidaras were almost destroyed....ten...nine....three more Zidaras entered the system next to the first three, and began returning fire....six...five...four...three....three of the Zidaras were destroyed, and the others were quickly losing shields...two...one....the Zidaras re-entered hyperspace, taking heavy damage from a lattice, but mostly still intact. A signal was sent from the command ship to the station, and the self-destruct was triggered.
The resulting explosion was tremendous. Any nearby fighters were incinerated. All on the station were blown to tiny pieces. Nearby capitol ships were badly damaged. The Zidigar had lost Qerid, but the Acarra had nothing to show for their victory, other than the lives of many brave Zidigar. Espilot was weary. He needed rest. An ensign came up to him on the bridge and said "Admiral, we just received word from R&D; the Zidagra frigates have been successfully tested, and are now rolling off the production line. Being only medium-sized ships, there should be quite a few of them ready for combat in a week or two." "Good. Set a course back to Zidigar. I want all fleets ready to mobilize to anywhere in Zidigar space on a moment's notice. We won't be taken by surprise this time. I need to speak with Kennel on Tumni..." The Zidigar fleet went back to Zidigar, and all ships were returned to their normal posts. ---- Phased Beam Upgrade-Postponed (2 posts) Anti-Matter missiles-2 Posts Anti-Matter synthesis-6 Posts Trebuchet Heavy Destroyer-2 Posts
------------------ Greetings from your friendly local cannibal, put in your town by the federal government to keep the human population in check. Of all the people I've pummeled; unsuspecting and deserving, I've learned one thing: you can either run, or fight. All other strageties are variations of these. Geglash All the lonely people, where do they all come from? All the lonely people, where do they all belong? The Beatles YOU NO LIKE DA ESP? DA ESP NO LIKE YOU.
MOD: Revoked, ESPilot. Don't act like the Acarra are idiots. The average Acarra is quite intellegent, and Lythrawn is smart even for an Acarra. He wouldn't be stupid enough NOT to check the command codes for the station. I'll assume your fleet hyperspaced out and the command codes did not work. I'm sick of you, and everybody else, acting like the Acarra are just some average little guys with a few good techs. They are POWERFUL, and a lot more powerful than any Milky Way race.
