Getting quicktime to stick

Anyone know why I can't get quicktime to stay checked in the preferences?

It never stayed checked for me, either, but when you play a plugin with QuickTime movies, they still run. It's not that important for the original game, because it didn't have QuickTime movies in it. So don't worry about it.
