EVOGod Apologies

Hello all, this is Kane O'Donnell, the author of EVOGod and The Docks etc, just posting to make some apologies!

1. I'm awfully sorry but EVOGod is no longer supported. Really. I haven't been supporting it for about 13 months now, and I've had 2 new computers and many inits of the hard disk since then. The source is genuinely gone, and I have no plans to redevelop it.

The good news is that I am now an extremely competent programmer, rather than a very amatuer programmer as seen in EVOGod, so since I am at uni now, and hence have a hell of a lot more time on my hands, I might begin from scratch a new total editor.

2. I just looked on the downloads page and it seems that The Docks is the most downloaded file! Thank you everyone! Then again, only one person ever paid the shareware fee, but hey, I suppose that's the state of shareware these days. Obviously if you're all into individual tools rather than an integrated editor you should probably tell me before I charge into a time wasting exercise...

Anyway, don't email me about EVOGod, it's gone, ladies and gents. Do however feel free to email suggestions for a new editor. It will probably be built in C so basically everything's possible.

Well, you'll want to check out David Arthur's Mission Computer before you work on another editor... it's coming along very well, and you may find yourself with very stiff competition if you work on another editor...

Hey,
I downloaded "the docks" but all i can do is open up things and play around, i dont understand the "read me" and im completely stuck :redface:. PLEAZE HELP ME WITH MY PROB! :eek:

What's w/ all the names like "zodiac mongerk'Starkiller'" and "moderater"?

The first is a special title that Andrew Welch (el presidente) gave him. "Moderator" is the title of a moderator of a board (such as myself).

Each forum has a couple of moderators who just oversee the forum -- make sure everyone's being good, lock topics if necessary, etc. And some of us call ourselves "immortals" just because we want to feel special.
