O.K. We all know the method of taking out enemies by staying just out of reach right? You let 'em chase you while coasting backwards or you just come to a standstill far enough away until they are within your own cannon/turret range, but they don't start firing- so you just blast as long as it takes to gun them down. I am getting bored!!!! -And a little let down on the computers A.I. Has anyone made plugs with enemies that don't fall for this trick? Galactic Scourge has ships that make for interesting battles, but the "really hard ships" always fall into the same trap. Or when you just run around while they exaust their supply of missles/ect. It seems as long as you have a medium to fast ship with speed upgrades, it's always a little unfair. - Always looking for a challenge- P.S. any other tactics that work (too) well?

That manuever is called the "Monty Python". And to change that would mean to change the AI, which is a bit complicated. But don't worry. The problem is fixed in Nova.
Like anyone will be playing EV or EVO for a few months after Nova is released anyway...

You'd be surprised. The first thing I did after playing EVO for the first time was play EV again.

I think so, at least, in EVO I mainly just ran from the Voinians until the fighters got close enough, then I vaporized them. Subsequently, I was able to recharge shielding enough to take out the Frigates.
I don't know. There is also the fire-missiles-and-hope-you-can-board-ships-to-get-more strategy. Useful in the Voinian string.

You're in a Voinian ship, and you're using hunter missiles? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of having the best brawler available to you?
