can anyone tell me how to get dreadnoaght. I'm on the voinians side but they won't let me buy one. what do I have to do to get one.
------------------ P-Z out -#23
There is no way to buy a Dreadnought. I think you can only do it through plug-ins
------------------ You have been overriden by Overrider. Prepare to die evil scum! -Me (url="http://"http://www.gameranger.com")GameRanger--Sß-Overrider720(/url) | (url="http://"http://www.boardgame.f2s.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard//ikonboard.cgi")BoardGame(/url) | (url="http://"http://www.magleague.com")MaG League- Overrider(/url) The Underdogs Smiles:(url="http://"http://community.theunderdogs.org/smiley/gallery.htm")Underdog Smiles(/url) AIM: Overrider720, Ferazel17 or WhiteStreak7
You can capture them, if you do the UE destroy dreadnought mission, jump into the vorik system and then when it comes cancel the mission. Then you can attempt to capture the dreadnought.
------------------ I love cheddar!!!
So you wish to pilot the Voinian Dreadnought? Download the Voinians plug, a recent addition to the add-ons page. Then go to the Command Center orbiting Mars and enter the shipyard. If that is too easy for you, pick another ship and go demand tribute from any Voinian planet or spacestation that has a shipyard, kick the crap out of what seems like a million dreadnoughts, become Overlord, land and enter the shipyard. You can find the Dreadnought in any Voinian shipyard once you are able to land there. By the way, you can also equip it with all the original outfits that you could not have before. That is reason alone to download the Voinians plug.
Without cheating ,there is no way you can get the Dreadnaught. It has too much crew to capture with any ship.
For example, here's the crew counts of the most powerful ships in the galaxy:
Voinian Cruiser:891 Crescent Warship:61 Azdgari Warship:61 Igazra:52 UE Cruiser:609
Voinian Dreadnaught: 2080
You see?
And, Mr. Stripper, why are you so eager to urge people to get the Voinians plug? It's not as if it's very good- Reign of the Voinians could beat it hands down, as could Reign of the UE.
------------------ (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/shades_shipyard")Shade's Shipyard(/url), the source for your ship needs.
Umm, shade, I've done it. It doesn't matter how many people are crewing it, it's a matter of partial luck as well. You can steal a C. Warship in a shuttle if you are lucky. Having more crew than another ship does not negate your ability to steal it.
However, I would avoid using it as your own personal ship. The reason being you aren't able to restock the Interceptors and the Salvo rockets. They do make excellent escorts though.

Whoops;I apologise, peoples. I guess I forgot the time when I captured that M'thl'ky BattleCruiser in Quantumire
Gee, I scoped out Shade's Shipyard and a Voinian Dreadnought with all its original outfits could not be found. Perhaps that would explain Shade's hostility to the Voinian plug on (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/evo/addons.html")http://www.AmbrosiaS...evo/addons.html(/url)
So far, we have established that the Voinian plug is the best way to get the Dreadnought with its original outfits, which directly answers the original question that started this discussion.
Now perhaps Shade will be amenable to seeking professional help for his acute plug envy (perhaps he was not breastfeed enough or he suffers from an inferiority complex because he perceives his father to be a superior sexual competitor for his mother's affections).

It is not spam if it is related. In fact, I believe he is "advertising" other people's plug-ins/sites.
Nothing he did violated the rules.
Thank you, Soviet mikee.
I believe that my comments are completely relevant to this discussion thread, and as I pointed out in another discussion, I am not the author of ANY EVO plugs. I only wish I were so talented since we have so many productive and creative plug-in developers. I would endorse several other great plugs, but the author of the Voinian plug clearly stated in the Read Me file that he used several other great plugs to develop the Voinian plug. If you criticize Voinian, you impugn the entire EVO plug developers' community because they all had a hand in creating it. There are many exciting plugs for EVO, it's just that the Voinian plug combines several of the better ones into one bug-free package.
I also like DispArmorPercent, BigMapWindow, Meowx Design Studio's MAGMA 2.01, and many others. Yes, they are all incorporated into the Voinian plug so you may enjoy them all as part of one coherent package. If you like the some of the ships from the Star Wars and Babylon 5 plugs, or the Enterprise from another plug, you may also find them available in the Voinian plug. As you can see, many EVO plug developers had a hand in the development of the Voinian plug and it is NOT the work of just one guy (as the description on (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/games/evo/addons.html")http://www.AmbrosiaS...evo/addons.html(/url) clearly states).

You can capture anything if you're lucky. I have disabled and captured the black hole in Frozen Heart with a ship with a crew of 1. I have captured voinian cruisers in shuttles. You can get the dreadnaught this way, it just takes crew, escorts, shields, luck, and about a million tries.
------------------ If at first you don't succeed, use more duct tape.
There have been an insane amount of posts concerning the dreadnought recently. I have tried my best to put my opinions into each one, but it's about time we start peeling our eyes a bit. Try to look at the other plugs first. They may just answer your questions...
