Upon being inducted into the illustrious ranks of Stellar Salvage, I was given map, manual, and stickers. The instructor said we should unlock or unencrypt the manual, and gave a password to do so. Is this simply part of the storyline, or is there a file to unlock as there was in the Frozen Heart?

There's no file, it's just part of the story.
Originally I intended that there would be, but used the Hypermail briefings instead.

And may I just add, that "Valiant Bastard" is one of the best names I've seen in a while. You're just missing the "Sir" in front of it. <grins>

Martin: Thanks for clearing that up! It didn't seem like I was missing any vital information, but now I know for sure. I enjoyed FH immensely, and I've not been the least bit disappointed in FF! I'm currently trying to rescue the Ad Nostra crew from the solar nexus.
Esponer: Why thank you! Been using it ever since I first played Quest for Glory II: Trial by Fire. However, I haven't been knighted yet, except perhaps in Pillars of Garendall, and I'm not sure that counts.
