Main Objectives

Yea, im really far and i got all UE cruisers for escorts andmy ship is a lazira(it jumps fast). I beat that main objective where u gotta explore the proxima and ji nebulas. And i read on this site that their are 3 objectives: the one mentioned above, push back the voinian empire and disbalance the strand war(the war between the Igazra and miranu...).
How do you get the other two objectives? Any tips anyone can give me out there would be a real help.

Hi there and welcome to the boards! 🙂
I have only been on them for about three weeks myself. If you need anything, don't hesitate to mail me.
To answer you question....
If you have UE cruisers as escorts, I'm afraid it might be a bit hard to get any missions fighting for the UE (I'm assuming that you're a criminal in UE space). You could, however fight for the Vonians; they recruit at Pax in the Dogovor system. The other objectives - the strands - can be gained out there in the crescent. To do the Igadzra string all I know is that you have to find something to do with Miranu River eels, I haven't done it myself. If you want the Zidagar Strand try hanging out around outpost Maloch, I know you play from there quite a bit, altough I'm not sure if you actually accept the initial mission there. The Azdgari strand can be picked up somewhere in Azdgari space, I'm not sure if it's outpost Garit or one of the planets in the Azdgari system - I don't remember anymore. If you aren't already part of the Miranu Trading Corporation try getting that one by going to the bar on Mirava. This mission will also let land on Earth, though I don't think they will ask you fight the Vonians if you've ticked them off. Anyway, I should stop rambling and leave space for other people.
I hope this helps!

No im not a criminal in UE space. See i have lots o' cash. So i buy UE crusiers for me then go and capture some other ship and i use it as my ship. The UE crusier then goes to my fleet of escorts. Taht way im happy, the UE is happy, everyone is happy.

Thanks 4 your help.

Hey Erckel, I just have a question for you because I in fact am having trouble of my own. How do you get the missions to explore the Proxima and Ji nebulas? I've been trying for at least 3 weeks, and couldn't manage how to get it. Thanks!

I think you get the nebula missions on the Miranu home world, Mirava I think. That place or the technological miranu science station planet that is west/south of Mirava.

Yes, I believe that's it (the station) -- Station Pybin, IIRC.

I dont remember exacly, but im pretty sure you get it on the miranu homeworld. If not, there is a miranu DSN system right beside the proxima nebula (to the east). Its a small science outpost. From there you explore the proxima nebula.

Hope this helps!

I'm pretty sure you want to head to Pybin - that's where the scientists are. From there you fly all over the place.

Thanks guys, but I went there and nothing happened. I went to the bar, no special mission bar popped up, and I checked the mission computer and nothing! Do I have to have a certain combat rating? I know it can't be legal status, because I'm an Upstanding Citizen pretty much throughout all Miranu Space... not to brag. Thanks alot!

You do need a high combat rating - Dangerous or Deadly if i'm not mistaken.

Yeah, you're going to have to face down an Igazra and also a bunch of Crescent warships at different times during the mission. I Monty Pythoned extensively. I probably wouldn't have except that I actually figured out the Monty Python myself, and I thought it was really cool. It wasn't until I joined the board here that I found out it was a cheap move that had a name.

you get the nebula mission string at station Pybin in the priat system!
to push back the voinians you must go to the Emalgha system and land on the planet of the same name go to the spaceport bar and fend off a voinian raid and check the bar again. do the message exchange to the UE and back go to the small planet called Gurado. go in the bar and its pretty clear from there.

Okay, I now have a dangerous combat rating, and still no go. Don't worry, I'll check back once I get a deadly combat rating. Anyway, is there a ship that I can buy better than the Cresent Warship... and how much and where? Just a note that I am still forbidden to enter some of the eastern planets like Igadzra.

I just did the nebula missions this morning, and if I recall correctly, I got the beginning ones on Blaga. Go to the bar and Imir will want you to deliver some stuff to Igdarza space. Do that, and go back there, or to Station Pybin, I'm not sure. Imir will give you a mission (in the bar) to pick up some cargo from Igdarza space. Pick it up. It's pretty easy from then on.

About ships better than the Crescent Warship, there are two different strand warships that are better, the Azdgari Warship and the Igdarza.
If you're looking for a faster Crescent Warship with kickass fighter, get the Azdgari Warship. If you looking for sheer power, get the Igdarza (I'm warning you, I have one, and damn, it's slow).
Outside of the crescent, there are a couple ships that are superior to the CW. There's the UE Cruiser (available after completeing the Anna B. string), and the Voinian Cruiser (available after doing the anti-emphalga Voinian string).
My ship of choice is the Voinian Cruiser outfitted with technology from all three strands (Triple Agent Plug) and UE and Voinian tech (working for both of 'em at the same time). My tricked out Voinian Cruiser was able to take out the Voinian Dreadnaught in a head on, close range battle. I beat it and had about half my armor remaining, 😃
Although, to say the Voinian Cruiser is slow is an understatement. It barely moves, even with the engine upgrades. But if you're looking for massive power, it's the ship for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for "sneak up behind and puncture their lungs" type ship, go for the Azdgari Warship, it's the fastest of the powerful warships in the game.

Good Luck.

I will definately look into these ships, they all sound so cool... but, there's one question I'm afraid to ask. Appox. how much do these monsters cost? I have about 10.25 million credits, and my ship is worth 5.27... will that cover it? I have a strange feeling I'm gonna have to do some more saving...

I do believe you need to be at least a deadly combat rating.

Personally, I enjoyed the UE Crusier. Get rid of the missle launchers and missles and you have enough space for the RCS, thrust and engine upgrades (and get the Azdigari upgrade if you can) as well as having an azdara bay. A fully decked out UE Crusier will turn at 150 degrees a second, have 5 turrets, and 11 fighters (6 azdara, 5 UE fighters). I go with 3 phase turrets to take care of shields and 2 nutron turrets to take care of armor. A few cargo to weapon space conversions and you can even get some voinian armor, if you can get it that is (isn't tribute great). Going head to head with a Igadzra warship no escorts, in close range, with all fighters attacking, I completly destroyed the warship in about 15 to 20 seconds with only about half my shields gone and only one UE fighter destroyed. Only problem I have with it is, it's slow, very slow. With the engine upgrades it maxes out at 175 speed. Even with afterburners, you aren't going to be outrunning much, but with the thrust upgrade giving it a 185 accel and the 150 degree turning speed it's somwhat agile. However, realize that it takes three days to jump anywhere with this.

This will also be the place to go for info on all of the EVO missions when it's finished, but for now, all you get is the UE ones.

Thanks for all the tips on how to max the ante on a UE Cruiser, but I prefer not to use it (no offense)... I've tried it before and I wasn't too "user-friendly" with the thing. So, I would like too with the Igadzra ship. I've heard so many good things about it, and I am willing to try it. But, my question was before how much does it cost? I currently have 16.47 million credits and my ship is worth 5.27... will that cover it all? Thanks!
