ANN: MissionComputer 1.0.0 Released

I've just posted version 1.0.0 of MissionComputer, my resource editor for EV Override. MissionComputer does not replace traditional plug-in editing tools such as ResEdit, but complements them to provide an easier way of editing missions, descriptions, commodities, and the game's year offset. It also provides an easier way to look up the resource IDs needed when setting up plug-ins.

MissionComputer is available both in a Classic version for Mac OS 9 and earlier, and in a Carbon version designed for Apple's next-generation Mac OS X. The current version of MissionComputer includes full support for the EV Override 1.0.2 file format, and support for Escape Velocity 1.0.5 is planned for future versions. Whether or not MissionComputer will be updated to support the upcoming EV Nova is undecided at this time.

MissionComputer for EV Override version 1.0.0 is now available as freeware from my new web site at (url="http://"http://davidarthur.evula.net/")davidarthur.evula.net(/url).

Excellent work David. That little gem will make things so much easier for the average person to mess around with the prefs and make some cool plugs. Something like this has been needed for some time. Have a cookie. 🙂

may the farce be with you

It's brilliant.

a shame it doesn't work.

I click three times and it quits on me.

I give it craploads more memory, and click slower, as soon as I start something it quits or freezes.

Oh well, twas a nice thought.

David Arthur,it rocks!
I made a cargo mission from Earth to Centauri and it worked first time!
That has never happened for me before!
With EV-Edit it always only partially works, and with Resedit it never works!
For services of great use to the Escape Velocity:Override community,I hereby award David Arthur 1 Citizen's Karma Point(Like a citizen's arrest, but nicer).

David Arthur now has 1 CKP and one cookie.
